Sandy kept helping Meera, guiding her on how to present herself for an interview. She also helped Meera again in applying for few more job opportunities. With no reply from any one Meera was getting worried since all the money she had was finished and Sandy was supporting her. She even gifted Meera five pairs of beautiful new dresses. The burden of Sandy's help was becoming too much for her to handle now and was getting desperate thinking, how many days will i be living life like this throwing my life's burden on others....it has to end somewhere ..someday...
One more week passed by when Meera received a letter surprising her and was still in a state of confusion whether this was a dream or reality. It was from the Manger in charge of the Oberoi Group of Companies congratulating her for being selected and he mentioned the date and time of her joining, which was from first February onwards.
'I am so happy for you Meera, you are one of the lucky girls' I've ever known to get this opportunity to work there' said Sandy embracing Meera.
1st February...
Meera wore a dress gifted by Sandy and she was standing in front of the semi-circular building with a large black gate, a huge black board with the names of the companies Oberoi Group did business in and also there were six security guards checking each and every vehicle and persons entering in.
The beauty tips given by Sandy refined her looks making her look even more attractive. Each and every person present there admired the tall beauty including few women who envied her at the first glance itself.
Visiting the place earlier, Meera knew from where to enter and whom to contact. Climbing a few stairs, opening the long glass doors, Meera reached the long circular wooden counter with three receptionists seated behind it. She showed one of the receptionists the joining letter and was told to go to the fifteenth floor 'Rahul sir's office is on the top floor' said receptionist guiding her towards the elevator.
Standing in front of the elevator, do i have to use it? was her first thought. may be i can take the stairs....but it's fifteenth floor, i cannot climb daily... she stood there thinking. The elevator doors opened and an elderly man with semi gray hair, beard and moustache wearing a nice ash colored suit entered passing Meera.
'Are you getting in Miss?' asked the elderly man, holding the elevator doors open.
Seeing the opportunity, she jumped in without replying to him. Meera did not check if it was going to the fifteenth floor or not instead, she stood at a corner closing her eyes. 'Are you new here Miss?' Enquired the man who was a bit taller than Meera.
'Ye...yes sir!' answered Meera opening her eyes.
'So what's the post here?' he enquired.
'Sir I am joining as the Personal Assistant to Mister Rahul Oberoi' replied Meera.
'Good to know Miss. By the way let me warn you, Mister Rahul Oberoi is a very angry man, he is kind of crazy. And one more thing, may I know how tall you are?' he questioned.
Hearing the man, Meera's heart dropped down to the floor and trying to catch up with her breath she replied, 'Sir I am 5'10" !!'
'Let me warn you then, he hates tall girl and let me also warn you that don't ever look into his eyes when you speak and also last but not the least in the not to do list, don't ever say no to him!!' warned the elderly man with a smile.
'Oh my God you are scaring me sir!!' Meera's heart kept beating faster and faster.
'Anyways do your work sincerely, I'm sure everything will be fine. By the way welcome to the Oberoi Group and just beware of my son!!'
