Rahul's P.O.V......

Wish I could punch that bastard a few more times. But then the hour of need was to drop Meera home safely. I lifted Meera in my arms, climbed those stairs and knocked the bell. As usual Fatima opened the door and the expression on her face changed at once. I did not allow her to speak anything, I was in a hurry.

'Open Meera's bedroom door, Fatima!' I said very seriously. I helped Meera lay on her bed, switched on the air conditioner, it's too damn hot...

Closing the door I told Fatima 'do not disturb Meera, she's not well! Let her sleep till she feels like'

'Okay sir' She said and I walked out of the house. The first thing I did after I sat in my driving seat I called Purab 'I want you to get hold of those recordings and pictures that were clicked of me and Meera...do it fast'

I do not want Meera to get all that unnecessary attention.....

By the time I reached back to Zorro's Inn, Purab did the work I told him to do.

'Mister Rahul, why are we deprived of our rights?' Questioned a News reporter, who's camera was taken away and he needed an explanation.

'You'll get to know soon!' I answered and walked in.

'Purab!! I want you to delete those pictures I told you about!'

'Right away sir!' Said Purab, walking into a private area where there was no one around and within half an hour all those pictures were deleted.

'What's going on Rahul? Why are all those media persons so disturbed?' Dad came to me to find out. I told dad what all happened with Meera.

'You did a right thing son! I'm happy to see you as a responsible adult!' Said dad and gave me a hug tapping my back. I too was happy seeing dad happy.
Whole night I could not sleep well. That stupid Raahil kept me awake all night.

How do I find out who that bastard is?

Parallely I kept thinking about  Meera's situation.

Why didn't she tell me that she is having a boyfriend?

I tried calling her, her phone was ringing but she was not answering. I kept waiting till the Sun rose up and called Pam Aunty on the prerext of informing her about the previous night's incident with Meera. But I did not get any feedback about Meera's lover.

I hate to even think that he's a lover!!

'Rahul, last night's event was a huge success!' Exclaimed my Aunt and she hugged me 'You were a real help to me dear!' She conveyed her gratitude. I was in no mood to hear any of this. I was still very upset about Meera's little secret.

'Rahul, come here. I need to talk to you about something!' Said Uncle Vinay, who was seated in the living room holding a file that late afternoon.

Why can't they let me be free for sometime.....

'Yes Uncle!' I said sitting in front of him hiding my inner clash.

'Yeah! Rahul you remember about the proposal that I had been showing interest in, apart from our diamonds business in South Africa?!'

'Yes!! You want to buy some farm land over there, something like that!'

'Yeah that's right! See this is the file! I have been in talks with my business associates in South Africa and I want you to take up this project!' Uncle requested.

'What? No way Uncle!! I already am caught up with the projects in here and now again this new one I don't think I'll be able to handle it!!' I rejected the offer.

'Come on Rahul! The projects here are not a big deal...you know Uncle has his responsibilities and commitments here!! You still are an apprentice remember?! All you have to do is just visit, check if all works are going on as per our plan and give me your detailed report!' Dad intruded.

Detailed?! My ass....

'I'm sure there would be so many of them ready to go on a field trip, overseas! Why me?' I argued.

'You need to learn how to handle our foreign associates too! I want you to get expertise that which you will get only through experience!!' Dad tried to convince.

I kept thinking for a while without replying.

'You guys are wasting your time with me over this?!' I did not agree.

'Listen Rahul the associates we are dealing with are interested in collaborating with us even in many more fields, I don't wish to lose such a golden opportunity!' Said dad.

I kept thinking for a while again and said  'I'll think about it and let you know soon!' I replied diplomatically.

'Good then Vinay hand over that file to him, let him read it first, may be then he'll get interested!' Said dad and Uncle Vinay gave me that file. I kept reading the contents of the file. It really helped me get some deviation from thoughts about Raahil. The next morning as I entered office, I saw Meera talking with Kinjal, Purab and Geet. Meera walked with me to my cabin and I was again very angry the moment I saw her. Thoughts about that stupid Raahil were activated again. I saw Meera crying but could not help her. I asked her who Raahil was.

'Someone from the past sir!' She replied with a teary face. I was not able to see my love crying and my mind was still not convinced about that idiot Raahil. Back home I still was very angry on Meera for not giving me any hint about herself.

'Bhai!...' my cousin Tania was calling me from behind.

'Leave me alone Tania! I don't want to talk to you right now!' I said sitting on the couch in the living room loosening my tie.

'Bhai at least listen to what I want to say?!' Tania pleaded.

'Tania! What's with the mania?!' I said very sarcastically to send her away.

'Oh! if what I talk is mania, then you're a maniac my dear brother!'

'I heard that!!' I warned her.

'So?! What will you do Mister Rahul Oberoi? The angry man!!' Tania teased me making me laugh instantly, I just left aside all my thoughts and I asked her 'what do you want?'

'Bhai you know my summer vacation is starting from Wednesday onwards. All my friends are going to Manali for a week! Can I go too?!' She asked me.

'Why are you asking me? Ask your mum or dad?!'

'That's the problem bhai, they both don't have any time for me! They are always busy...busy!' Tania sounded very frustrated.

'Who all are going?' I tried to find out.

'It's just two of my besties!'

'And how are they planning to go?' I tried to clear it out.

'They have booked bus tickets, to and fro!' Said Tania with a happy face.

'I can't let you go in that public transportation, I'll book flight tickets for you all upto Buntar and from there I'll arrange for a taxi! Will that be okay?' I asked her.

'You are such a sweet brother!' Said Tania hugging me.

I needed some time away from Meera and so agreed to send Tania to that hill station. What Tania doesn't know is that she'll be accompanied by someone else along with her friends.
