Author's P.O.V continues....

Meera was back home with a heavy heart and burst into tears the moment she saw Pam.

'What's the matter my dear?' Pam tried to find out. Meera was in no condition to explain then but slowly when she calmed down, she narrated the ordeal.

'You know Aunty, I wanted to tell you the reason why my Grandfather and Uncle wanted me dead the moment I was born. There's a curse that girls born in my family will be murdered after they are raped' Meera explained leaving Pam in utter shock. Pam regained herself from those shocking words and said, 'You know Meera, there are people who try to tag something like this, say the curse you're talking about, some say it's honor, and so on but the main reason is they do not wish to have a girl child since the girl does not carry on the surname and people are so crazy about this'

'Yes Aunty what you said is true but my life is truly cursed I guess it's either way my life is at stake' Meera said.

'Yes dear I wish all this is just a nightmare!' said Pam hugging Meera and she too wept silently.

It's been two days all the members of Rahul's family were searching for him. Sunny informed Rahul's father that Meera left but did not give the reason. He felt Rahul's father would breakdown if he came to know what Rahul tried to do with Meera. But Sunny too kept trying to find Rahul in all those places around where they both used to visit while they were studying there.

'I think I know where he could be. This is the last place I'm gonna search for and if I don't find him there then we need to take help of the police' Sunny said before leaving to the one and only place remaining in the list.

'Yes Sunny please do give me a ring if you find him' Vikram said.

Sunny drove over twenty kilometers to reach the isolated reserved forest that has a few  cottages given on rent and with one of them owned by the Oberois.
Reaching the interior of the reserved forest that evening he reached the isolated cottage. With darkness engulfing around he noticed the lights inside the cottage proving that someone occupied it but was unsure if it was Rahul himself. He knocked on the door keeping his fingers crossed. A minute later the wooden door was opened with Rahul standing in front of him.

'Oh my goodness, I finally found you' said Sunny embracing his best friend. Rahul had no smile on his face, he appeared all dull and depressed. 'Come on Rahul let's go home. Your dad is too worried about you and so are your other relatives' Sunny tried to convince Rahul.

'No Sunny. I am in no position to face my dad. I won't go with you' said Rahul closing the door as Sunny stepped inside.

'Come on man it's no big deal. Meera is fine and is back in Delhi. She called me to say that she reached home safely' Sunny informed.

'It may not be a big deal for you Sunny. But for me it's hideous, I'm totally ashamed of myself. How could I try to do such a thing to her? I'm not someone who would force himself on women!' Rahul said hiding his face behind his palm.

'Yes I know but sometimes shit happens! Buy you can go back and apologise and convince her, show her who you really are!' Sunny tried his best.

'No Sunny what I tried to do is a harm' said Rahul and then suddenly he recollected something 'the old lady was right. I tried to harm my love. May be I must go and talk to her'
