Rahul's P.O.V. Continues.....
Getting down the stairs I reached my cabin and first I called the main reception at the main entry gate, 'Yeah, this is Rahul, do you know when Miss Trivedi left?' I tried to act a bit more consciously this time.
'Good evening sir! Miss Trivedi....I am not sure who she is sir!' replied the guard at the gate.
'The girl who collapsed in the lift....tall with long braid!' I tried to make him recollect.
'Oh yes sir, now I remember! I did not see her leave sir!' He said making me more and more worried.
'Fit for nothing idiots....you don't even see properly who comes in or goes out!' I yelled in anger and hung up. now where do i search for her.....
Brushing my hair in frustration with my fingers, I kept thinking, where are you my love? what if the guard was right? she did not leave the building and is still here...working!!
The thought brought out all the lost energy in me. I immediately opened the cabin of my Personal Assistant only to find her still in there with her head on her folded arms that were resting on the table. She was sleeping and was drooling too.
unbelievable..!! I smiled looking at her. Walking out of the cabin I called Sandy, 'Hello Miss Patel, it's me Rahul, I found your friend!'
'Thank god! Where is she sir?' Sandy asked in excitement.
'She's still in the office!'
'Thank you sir! I didn't know that she was still working. Sorry once again to disturb you sir!' Sandy again apologized and hung up.
working? Wow! what an imagination your friend built up about you Meera...
I smiled at the thought, went back again to the cabin to check on her. She was happily sleeping with no worries hovering around.
not like me...'Miss Trivedi, wake up. It's late already! Time to go home!' I said. My words did not reach her. I could not stop smiling looking at her. Stroking a few strands of hair that were falling on her eyes, I tucked them behind the ear.
'Hmm..!' She said probably my touching her made her conscious. She was fluttering her eye lids, I just paced back into my cabin space not wanting to let her see me. Pretending to not have seen her, I called her 'Miss Trivedi! Miss Trivedi!' and gave her a couple of minutes to come out. I just silently sat on my chair and opened my laptop. As expected she came out in two minutes, 'Ye...yes...yes sir!' she said standing near the table.
'It's almost eighty thirty, don't you want to go home?' I asked her trying to avoid any eye contact with her.
'Home sir...I don't have one sir!'
I was surprised to hear those words 'Okay where ever you are living. I'm sure you are not living on the streets, right?' I said firmly irked by her reply.
'No..no sir! It's the working woman's hostel!' she replied.
working...huh!!
I informed Meera about Sandy's call and said, 'It's already late. I will drop you at the hostel or else you'll reach your hostel late and will be late for office tomorrow again which I really hate!' I said without giving her any chance to say NO. 'Follow me' I said picking up my keys.
Driving with her in my new X6Beamer was a very enjoyable drive for me. I never expected she'd go with me. Dropping her at the hostel's gate I drove away to home listening to my favourite numbers. I was the happiest person in the whole world. I entered into my house with a smiling face only to face my dad who was seated in the living room discussing some business with my Uncle, who's back was facing at me.
