Rahul's P.O.V.......

I just entered the elevator hanging up my phone. I saw Meera standing in there to a corner. My heart skipped a beat when I first saw her on the road drenched in rain and she collapsed right in my arms. I never expected to see her again in my life. Guess I am too lucky to see her now again. I just want to introduce myself properly.

control Rahul...this is office, you have an image here.....

My inner voice told me not to get desperate, I had to listen to it since it's true. Within a minute the elevator stopped, it's a very common problem in here, I told those maintenance guys to repair it well but they won't listen. I saw Meera sitting on the floor. I asked her if she is okay.

'Unable to breath sir' she replied that caused an urgency in me to break open those doors and take her out from there for fresh air. I checked her pulse, it was faint and within few seconds it disappeared. I was so damn scared, my heart was beating a thousand times with so many random thoughts on how to save her life. As the doors opened, I lift her in my arms and walked out of the elevator. I think it hardly took three minutes for the doors to open and my guess was that she never used elevators before or she must be claustrophobic. I ran to the lounge on that floor. Making her lie on a center table, I gave her CPR--mouth to mouth.

'What are you looking at idiots? Call an ambulance!' I shouted at those guys who were watching me. These guys behave like I am kissing her ....morons... I was taught these basic life saving skills while in school, in London.  Two minutes after my giving her CPR, Meera coughed. oh thank goodness she's breathing now....

I breathed in relief seeing her. 'Meera! Open your eyes!' I tapped on her cheeks. She was in no state to open her eyes, I held her shoulders and made her sit on the table. She was breathing heavily with her eyes shut again and was losing her balance, so had to hold her all the time.

'Stop looking, go and get some water damn it!!' I yelled at a helper boy who was watching us with much excitement. Within a minute the boy stood in front of me with a glass of water. 'Meera, sip the water, you'll feel better' I said placing the glass near her mouth with it's edge touch her lips so that she opens her mouth. Holding my arm she sipped in a little but then coughed out immediately.

'The ambulance arrived sir' informed an employee on that floor. I admitted her in the nearby multi-specialty hospital. I called her friend Sandy again this time for another reason informing her about Meera's situation. I was back in cabin but felt very restless why is this girl always in these types of situations!? I thought but let it go that instant. I cancelled all my meetings for the day even though I know my dad would be upset but I couldn't just spent another minute in there and so I drove in my car on the National Highway towards Jaipur. I think by now she must have gone back to her home, or wherever she stays. The doctor said that she's fine when I called just an hour ago.

I still am feeling too disturbed, but since dad must be getting worried I am going back home. I can't let him get worried for me now. Not wanting to talk I switched off my phone from the time I began driving. It's almost nine in the evening when I was back home. I kept honking waiting for the guards to open the gate.

'Is this why I am paying you? Bastards!!'

'Sorry sir' said one of them after opening the gate.

oh gosh Meera what have you done to me.......I am getting so frustrated...

Parking my car, I walked in to face my family members. It appeared as if they all were waiting for me anxiously. 'Where have you been? I tried calling you!' Dad asked me with a worried look on his face.

'I just wanted to be alone for sometime'

'What do you mean by want to be alone? How can you act so irresponsibly?' Dad is pushing me to find out.

'Dad please relax, I am not a kid anymore and I am not irresponsible too! I can take care of myself very well'

'Okay fine then! I won't ask. Will you at least join us for dinner? We hardly get any chance to have our meals together!!' Dad asked me in a very angry tone.

'Okay fine I will join only after taking bath, tell Kaka to serve food' I said to skip away from the interrogation. I walked fast to climb those stairs, reaching my room I closed the door. I was gasping for air. I can still feel the soft hands of Meera, i need to get out of this emotion....

Undressing myself completely naked I took a hot shower bath. Wearing my shorts and T-shirt, I walked down to have my dinner with my family of course that includes my Uncle Vinay, his wife Pinky, my twin cousins Aakash and Tanya

'How was your day?' Dad asked me as if he does not know anything.

'Don't you think you're nagging a lot today?!' I asked dad. I do not wish to tell them all the details .

'I heard there was an incident with the new recruit today?' Questioned my Uncle Vinay who is five years younger than dad.

'Before I answer that, I need to know who appointed her as my Personal Assistant?' I asked him.

'It's me of course!' Uncle replied immediately.

'She has no qualification to be a P.A, how could you appoint her Uncle?' I was angry.

'Just like I appointed you as my assistant, son!!' Dad intervened.

'Oh come on dad!! I am educated, there's a difference between my job and her job!' I tried to convince dad. I can't see her as my assistant, it's going to be too difficult for me to handle, why don't you understand dad?

'See son, from the time you joined here with me, it's I think a dozen girls have left the job. They don't want to work with you' Dad's giving me an explanation.

'That's not my problem!'

'Oh yeah! Then let's see how long will this girl, what's her name?' dad paused to find out her name.

'Meera!' I answered swiftly. It just came out of my mouth so suddenly.

'Yeah right, Meera, let's see how long will this girl work with you! It's a challenge my son, I can guarantee she will quit the job tomorrow!'

'Please dad, don't start the blame game. I am not the one responsible for those who quit the job! It's their inability to cope with the work pressure, it's a job for Christ sake....how can one expect a cozy comfortable environment at office?!! Isn't it ridiculous' I tried to defend myself.

what dad says is partially true, i can't control my temper....that's the main problem area

'Pay a little extra money Uncle, these bitches will definitely work!' My cousin Aakash came to my rescue.

'Just shut up Aakash! Don't you know that the luxurious life we are enjoying is because of the hard work of all our employees. It's not just I or your dad built this empire, it's a team effort. They are in need of money and we need their services, so try to give some respect for their hard work' Dad began lecturing poor Aakash.

blah...blah...blah...

Even though I feel he's lecturing, I think what dad's saying is true.

'Anyways it was nice having dinner with you guys! I am off to bed!' I said and got up from the chair.

'Wait young man I still have not yet finished' Dad made me sit back again.

'Come on bhai let him go to bed, he must be damn tired' My Uncle said and at once all of them burst into a loud laughter.

i know they are teasing me....

'Disgusting!!' I felt a sudden surge of anger in me and got up from there. Walking back towards stairs I heard dad say, 'The challenge is still on my son!! If I win you'll do as I say!!'
