“Thanks again” I mumbled before ducking from his reach and opening my door. A large sigh left his lips as he realised I was once again turning him down.
“Seeyah” He said, avoiding all eye contact and leaving the main hallway.
“Bye”
Well that was awkward. I don’t know why I let myself get in those situations with him. I’ve told him and myself many of times nothing is going to become of us. It never will and I refuse to allow it, yet there’s a part of me that just wished I had kissed him. That we were that little step further than just friends. But it wouldn’t work. It can’t work. I quickly got myself changed and took all of my makeup off and brushed my teeth before crawling into bed.
---------------------------------------
“Come on babe, stop being square”
“Reesh, I don’t know where you’ve got this word from or how it has a meaning of someone being square but I really don’t want to go out tonight”
“And why not”
“Because. Because I’m tired” I lied. The real reason was I just didn’t want to see Aston. The dancers had a week off allowing the boys the extra time to practise routines that we already knew as well as start to bring vocals into it.
“Well then go for a nap then get ready, were not going for another few hours”
“I don’t know”
“Please, everyone else is”
“Fine” I mumbled down the phone as he continued to rant on about how I should come and it wouldn’t be fair if i didn’t
“Reesh I said fine” I repeated raising my tone slightly so he would hear over the top of his rant.
“Oh great. Well we shall see you at 6”
“Okay, now bye”
“Bye”
By the time it got to 6 I was nowhere near ready. I quickly sent a text to Reesh saying I was going to be running late and to not panic I was going to turn up. He quickly replied saying...
“You better! Xx”
Weird. Anyway I took my focus off of the text and back onto getting ready. I didn’t want to be that late everyone was already drunk and I was left to caught up to the state they were currently in. I ran the straighter’s back through my hair and slipped on my clothes before grabbing some heels and money and darting out of the door into the nearest taxi. I soon arrived at the club and went straight to VIP where I spotted everyone sat downing shots. I still hadn’t had a proper conversation with Aston since the ending of our perfect dinner. It was like we had taken a complete U turn and now we’re back to where we started. As I approached the table he glanced up at my before getting up and removing himself from his friends’ presence.
A few hours into the night I still hadn’t seen Aston. I did want to find him to sort things out but I’m not sure where he would be or who with for that matter. Determined I would have us back on track before I was back at dancing I set out looking for him. I checked every other place apart from the none VIP. I was pretty sure he wouldn’t go down there, thinking of all the girls that would be after him, but leaving it as my last option I went down the stairs and began to search there. Suddenly my eyes focused to him. At a seat currently snogging the face off some girl. A sting of disappointment hit me. I couldn’t just stand there and watch him with that girl. That girl who right now I wanted to be. Wait no. What am I even thinking? I don’t want to be her. Of course I don’t, Aston’s my friend well I hope he is and that’s it.
