Soon enough the coach had stopped and we had arrived at the arena. We all left the bus to be greeted by a large group of fans causing chaos to meet the boys. I couldn’t help but aw slightly at how emotional some of them got as the boys approached them with open arms ready for photos and to sign anything that was given in front of them. We soon entered the arena leaving the boys to it, as we walked inside it soon hit home that today was the day we were actually going to put our month’s worth of practise to the test in front of thousands of people. The boys soon arrived inside but were rushed off straight away for an interview by the sun newspaper while the rest of us were left to get used to our surroundings. It usually to a while to get used to the stage again, after months of practising routines on a solid flat surface it was a lot harder on a more un -even surface. It was pretty surreal actually being up on stage with so many seats facing us and the arena wasn’t even full. Soon enough the boys had finished their interview/ question and answer about what to expect with this tour and we began to practise. The boys had agreed to allow the paper to stay and capture photos and videos of the boys which would be published later in the day. They didn’t seem bothered by this because of the amount of photos and videos that would be published after tonight’s performance will ruin the element of surprise for a lot of fans.
“Aston please stop messing around and take this seriously, we have an hour left to rehears” Leon yelled while Aston continued to chase after Oritse hitting him over the head with the light savers they had been given.
“Sorry” Aston yelled before walking over to his place on the stage ready to run through the stunts which were to take place in air. These were the only parts of the routine that really needed to be perfected before they continued to warm up their vocals. I couldn’t help but laugh over how stressed Leon and the other boys looked then there was Aston taking everything as a big game. I knew closer to when it was for them to go on stage slight nerves would kick in for him and he would begin to take everything seriously but for now he seemed happy enough to make a joke out of everything. Soon enough the hour was up and the boys left to freshen up then go to meet and great fans. While they were out I spent some time sitting with the VIDA girls in their dressing room. Before heading back to mine and start my warm up exercises.
“Guys you’re on in 5, positions please” A producer called to all of us who were huddled together under the stage. The boys were already out there on the main stage doing what they did best. They had already completed some songs and routines on the second stage, ran through the crowd and were currently introducing themselves. I couldn’t help but forget all my nerves and worries as the adrenaline kicked in as the music started for teach me how to dance and we ran onto the stage into a blacked out arena with the only light caused by flashing lights by thousands of cameras clicking away in front of us all. I couldn’t help but turn and look at the boys. The smiles on their faces, the sparkle in their eyes. This was what they are supposed to be doing and just by looking at their faces I could see how much this meant to these boys and I couldn’t be any happier to say I was now a part of this big part of their lives.
