Chapter 15. The lost child

{Location: Hectic cove}(Cole's POV)

"GET BACK HERE!" I scream bloody murder as I run against the crowd. "PUT HIM DOWN!"

"COLE!" Kai tries to reason with me as I lose all sense of the word. "COME BACK! YOU CAN'T FACE HER ALONE!"

I completely ignore him and my brothers as I manage to get a little space. I watch as Zara carries my father through the hole she came from. I climb to the stage and in my hurry, I trip on a step. I land on my face as the corner of the stage presses against the center of my forehead.

My dad struggles a bit, "HELP ME!" My dad screams as Zara flies faster.

"I'm coming." I push through the pain and airjutz after them. Zara is running on the rooftop as storm clouds gather. "Don't worry."

My feet slam against the ground as I jump on the roof. Then I chase after the two as I leap over allys. I pursue them to the end of the block and Zara flaps a little harder and gets across the street. "Bye-bye," She lands as wolves follow her on the street, "Ninja."

"Get back here you-" I try to summon my dragon but I'm too angry. I watch as she gains heights and speeds off to the forest. "Dad."

"She got," Jay paints as they catch up with me, "Away."

"Where is she going?" Zane is probably running through dozens of different scenarios as I try and collect myself. "We do not know if she has any safe hide out."

Focus. Dad's not going to be ok if I lose my marbles right now. I am shaky as the rain drips down.

Morro's hood falls as his hair gets wet quickly, "My guess is nowhere near people." He frowns as we try and figure out where they are heading

Beep. Beep. I watch as the Destiny's Shadow, Aquila, Katara and Nya fly next to us.

Seliel is driving and slows to a stop as we hop on. "One Ninja taxi."

"How did you find us?" Zane smiles as the rather small ship is quickly crowded. "We did not tell you where we were going."

"We followed Zara here." Skylor is squeezed near the engine as Sensei rubs his chin. "I guess it was luck the concert was here too."

I squeeze my lips tightly, "Yeah," I growl as the Destiny's Shadow takes off, "How lucky that my DAD WAS JUST KIDNAPPED!"

"And we'll get him back." Kai takes his hood off as I try and simmer down. "Don't worry."

The raindrops turn into thicker and heavier raindrops as try to breathe steadily.

"We must keep our heads." Sensei grabs a hold of something as the ship bounces from our speed. "We can not fight with poor vision."

"Speaking of which," Morro looks uncomfortable as he is squeezed between Kai and Kit, "Any idea what we're getting into this time?"

"Not exactly." Kit frowns and tries to reach for her sword, but the way she's positioned she can't grab her sword without falling off. "And any vision I have about this moment it very fluid. So I really can't see anything too well."

"At least we won't have to worry about hurting people," Nya points as a speck lands in a burned down forest. "Unless we're counting bunnies as pedestrians now."

Katara nibbles her lips. "The Hollow woods." The rain thins in and out and pokes holes in her wings.

"Oh yeah," Jay wiggles down and tries to pull out his nunchucks, "This is not ominous or scary at all."

"What is with all the rain?" Zane holds his hands out as the rain starts to flicker away, "There was not anything in forecast about rain."

Willow flies Aquila a little closer to us, "It might be Zara. She may be trying to lose us."
