The large white dragon began circling around a large peice of land out in the ocean. They began their descent from high in the sky to the island they would be spending Christmas on. Flying down and down until the creature landed on a very small patch of grass outside the mansion. The two sisters gracefully jumped off of the dragon and Kadia ordered "Nacre go to the mountains. We will be going home in two weeks and I will come get you then." The dragon flew off and Julietta raised her eyebrows at her sisters naming of the dragon. "You named an Antipodean Opaleye, a dragon know notoriously for its pearly color, Nacre. Nacre literally means pearl or pearly in French. Honestly, Kadia couldn't you be more creative." Julietta judged while her sister just scoffed and walked into the family mansion.
As Julietta walked into the house she made her way to her brother's bedroom. She missed her brother Amon a lot as she hadn't seen him in two years. He had been busy fighting Grindelwald and his loyal followers so he hadn't been able to see his siblings. Everyone in the family was emotionally cut off but he always took it to a new level. He got it from his Mother like the majority of his traits. Everything he knew about fighting and defense his Mother had taught him. While the other two were a combination of their parents he had always been a mirror image of his Mother. He was separated from everyone and he didn't need anyone. He never got angry or sad as he was always level-headed and logical. If you looked into his eyes you would only see the deep blue color and not a spark of emotion inside them.
Julietta pushed open the door to his chambers. She walked through the bedroom and into his study where she saw Amon sitting at his writing desk. He had his typewriter out and it was obvious he was doing some work for the ministry. His light brown hair hadn't been cut in a while as it was growing rather unruly and impractical, something Julietta knew her brother would be hating. He was shirtless wearing only pants and she could see new scar embedded in his skin. "Welcome home sister. How was that horrid school in Scotland?" he asked before getting up and hugging her tightly. "I should have known you would notice me. You can let your guard down occasionally brother," she said and her brothers feature once again became emotionless. He released her from the grip of his muscular arms and replied: "I can let my guard down when I am dead and gone. Now tell me about school."
They walked to one of the more casual living rooms in the house and began to discuss school. Soon their other sibling came to join them and Julietta told them about everything. She told her siblings about the chamber of secrets, classes, teachers and the friends she had made. They were shocked but the conversation quickly moved to Grindelwald's army and her brothers work. The conversation progressed and soon they began to talk about the dragons and the other monster Kadia loved so much. The siblings gave each other advice and help them solve problems that they couldn't solve by themselves.
When they were done Julietta and her brother returned to his bathroom where Julietta began cutting his hair. She was slow and precise with her cuts making his hair short and out of the way, just how he liked it. It was a lot more loving and caring than the short hug they shared earlier. They both knew they could do it with magic far easier but the two of them craved some kind of affection. Neither of them would ever admit it but they wanted some kind of love. Amon missed his Mother and this almost felt like that she was still here living inside this small action. Julietta just had just been changed a little bit more by her friends at Hogwarts than she thought. Their sister, on the other hand, needed nothing more than her dragons and her secret lover.
The three Goldwoods developed a system over the next two weeks. They would have breakfast together at 7:30, they would do whatever they wished until lunch at 12:30, then they would talk and train together until they all ate dinner at 10:30 and then they would prepare for bed. No one ever said that was what was going on as they all just knew it. This was until Julietta was about to leave for Hogwarts. Her brother had left that morning and she was sitting at the dining room table waiting for her sister to join her. Her sister was exactly five minutes late when Julietta decided to go check on her.She knew something must be wrong as Goldwoods haven't been late since her great-uncle Helios missed his own wedding after he was poisoned.
She walked into her sister's chambers expecting to see her sister dying but instead, she saw something much more shocking and traumatizing. A tear was making its way down her sister's cheek before dropping down onto the letter she held tightly in her hands. Kadia looked up in horror like her sister had caught her killing someone. "What is the wrong sister? The last time any of us cried was at the funeral of our deceased parents so I have to assume something horrible has happened." inquired Julietta as she stood before her sister. This was the moment in Kadia's life where she would have to make a choice that could change the course of it. She had never shown weakness to her siblings since the day they had all watched them be buried deep underground in their family cemetery. She made her choice and looked deep into her sister's eyes, green clashing with violet. Then Kadia stood up and walked over to the window dropping the letter into Julietta's hands.
