Weeks had passed since their defense against the dark arts class where they had to battle a boggart. Julietta was content with her life. She would spend her mornings running, she would spend the day in classes, her afternoons would be spent with her friends, her evenings would be spent with the creatures in the forbidden forest or with the basilisk in the chamber of secrets. She had developed a steady routine that would soon be slaughtered with the approaching holidays.
Her sister Kadia Goldwood had gone over her head and talked to Professor Dippet about leaving this holidays. Her sister decided that she should pick her up two days before the Christmas holiday were supposed to begin. She had no doubt that Kadia would make a large and dramatic entrance. Growing up Kadia loved everything crazy, impressive and dangerous. Julietta fondly remembers her sister running off to join the muggle circus for the "life experience". She was damn good in the circus too. Carisma rolled off her in waves and she was as smart as they come. The day she first saw a dragon she fell in love. She brought an egg and she has been with that dragon ever since.
Julietta was sitting in the great hall with her friends when a letter with wings landed on her lap. She sighed knowing it was her sister as no one else had ever sent a letter with its own wings before other than her. The wings quickly became part of the envelope and she opened the letter. On it were the words reading...
Dear Sis,
This year our family Christmas is to be held on my favorite of our islands because Brother worries about your safety with this stupid war going on.
Love Kadia
Julietta smiled at her sisters choice of location. Julietta and her sister didn't share many traits but animals was a love they had always shared. The island held one large mansion and the rest of the island was covered in a large forest that was filled to the brim with magical creatures. The mountains had a few giants living in them while the valleys housed a pack of centaurs. The large lake was filled with merpeople and much to the sister's joy you could barely walk two meters without seeing some peculiar creature.
Eileen being rather nosy snatched the letter out of Julietta's hands. "Merlin's Mother! How many islands do you own?" she perplexed and Julietta shrugged, "I think the Goldwood family owns six islands in total." Her Elieen and Maria looked at her in awe and shock at how rich she was. "You know if you don't close your mouth you will catch fish in it. Well, why do you lot look so surprised? Anyway, we have Julietta's first Hogsmeade trip today so let's get outta here." Jezebel said after leaving Oscar to see what all the commotion was. Jezebel then dragged them out of Hogwarts to her favorite town in Scotland.
Jezebel filled up her bag with candy at Honeydukes. She had always had a sweet tooth while she lectured Julietta on every type of candy known to wizard kind. While Julietta had been thinking about the approaching Christmas holidays, Oscar, on the other hand, was hanging on to her every word. As Jezebel was loading up a bag with salt water taffy her eyes met Oscars for a moment.
If this had been a cliche romance movie their hands would have touched igniting sparks inside her heart but it wasn't a cliche romance movie. Something did shift inside Jezebel though. Something had been changing in their relationship for a while. Jezebel had been ignoring it but it was happening. She had loved him for a couple months in a different way from how she loved him before. Things were changing and Jezebel was just realizing it at this moment. She stood frozen for a few seconds before continuing to stuff a bag full of candy.
"Are you feeling okay?" asked Oscar worried when he saw something change in her expression. She handed him her bag of candy and ran outside into the cold. He dropped the candy and ran after his best friend only to find her lying in the snow. Her eyes were closed, her mouth was open and her hair was spread out around her like a helo. Oscar dropped to the ground next to her and felt her neck to feel a pulse. He found one and he let out the breath he had been holding. So he picked her up and he carried her up out of Hogsmeade with her friends following behind.
"We need to take her to the hospital wing," demanded Oscar and Julietta scoffed "She merely fainted. Taking her to the hospital wing would be an overreaction that would only anger Jezebel. She would be furious at being forced to stay in bed on doctors orders. Well, am I wrong?" Oscar, Maria, and Eileen knowing that she was right followed behind her as she lead them to the Ravenclaw tower. They followed behind her as there was no point in disagreeing with her. She was right and they all knew it so they followed behind her. Oscar looked lovingly down at the young girl in his arms.
When they arrived at the Ravenclaw common room Julietta began to walk up the stairs to the boy's dormitories. "What do you think you are doing? You can't just walk into a boys dormitory." objected Maria making Julietta laugh. "Well, of course, I can just walk in. That is what I am doing right now, isn't it? Besides Maria, Oscar is hardly going to leave Julietta. Oscar can't get into the girl's dormitories so Jezebel must go into the boy's dormitories." Julietta said and continued up the stairs. Oscar shrugged and followed Julietta up into his dormitory. As she walked in she was greeted by three boys. One of them was shirtless so Julietta picked a shirt up off the ground and threw it at him. He caught it and put it on in complete shock.
She walked to the bed with a picture of Oscar and Jezebel on the bedside table next to it. She cleared off the junk on the bed so Jezebel could be laid down on it. Oscar carried her over to the bed and gently laid her on it. He kissed the top of her forehead lovingly and Julietta said "She will sleep for a while. Tell her to come see us when she wakes up. Goodnight boys." Then she walked out.
