Julietta Belle Elise Goldwood was one of the most peculiar and talented students to ever walk the halls of Hogwarts. She was a Goldwood first of all, a family that is shrouded in secrecy. They are one of the oldest wizarding families and are rich be...
Julietta was now being lowered slowly down a concrete pipe. She used magic to slowly descend downwards into the darkness. She wrinkled her nose at the slime that coated the sides of the tunnel like a thick layer of moss on a tree trunk. There were many other pipes that connected to this one but it was obvious to Julietta that this was the main tunnel. The tunnel twisted and turned until Julietta finally landed on the wet stone floor of a large tunnel. She held the shard glass in front of her eyes and she began to explore the large stone tunnels. The girl was not disturbed by the skulls of small animals or the remains of a giant snakeskin that lay in front of her.
She followed the large tunnel that was clearly leading to something interesting. She walked and walked unfazed by all of the horrible ways she could die down here. The floor was covered in water, something the girl found rather unsavory. After walking for what felt like a time longer than it was Julietta came to a solid wall. On it was two entwined serpents carved into the stone with large emeralds replacing eyes. Even though everything in this series of tunnels was covered in grime these emeralds were spotless and shined like they were brand new. She once again whispered some parseltongue and the wall began moving. The wall cracked open forcing the serpents to separate as the walls disappeared.
Julietta stared at the large chamber in front of her mildly impressed. Sure the stonework was marvelous but she didn't see it as anything to write home about. Plus everything was dimly lit and covered in slime making it seem far less impressive. She stared at the snakes as she walked along to the large statue of Salazar Slytherin. She looked around and decided to perform a cleaning spell. All of a sudden the water from the floor was gone and ever statue was rid of the slime. Even the room seemed to be brighter and less eerie. She looked around and smiled at the vast improvement she had made.
All of a sudden she heard something approaching from behind her. She knew it was the basilisk so in parseltongue she hissed "Stop! You will not kill me." It replied something but with her limited knowledge on the subject she couldn't understand a word. She could see the basilisk sliding past her and all of a sudden she was watching it slide out of the chamber and far away from her. The young Ravenclaw summoned her homework and she made a large armchair appear out of thin air. She spent the night doing her homework before returning to her dormitory and falling asleep almost instantly.
Julietta felt rather content and happy the next morning. She had discovered a new spot to run off to when the world was getting to much. When she had run around the lake this morning she saw a group of thestrals. She always loved the animals like she loved almost every animal. Her friends were happy and she was smiling as she watched Oscar and Jezebel throw grapes into each other's mouths. She watched as Eileen and Maria fought about whether muggle architecture or wizarding architecture is better. She just ate her kiwi fruit happily while observing her friends.
"Why don't you eat normal food? You are always picking at salads and fruits but never anything fulling. Don't you get hungry? Are you a vegetarian?" questioned one of Oscar's Gryffindor friends who decided to sit with them. Julietta looked up at him and revealed "I am not a vegetarian. Well, maybe I am since I haven't eaten meat in five years. I was cursed by my godfather who told me I would be fat if I continued eating the way I was. So he cursed me by making carbohydrates and meat taste like earwax in my mouth." Jezebel's mouth fell open in shock and she blurted "That's abuse!" The rest of the group nodded in agreement and Julietta just countered "That's what my godfather would call tough love." Her tone was cold, her face was a mask and she left her friends at the table. Talking about her godfather left a sour taste in her mouth and it wasn't because she ate meat.
She sat in Defence Against the Dark Arts class hoping to be distracted by this lesson. "Hello, class. Recently some children fainted when a boggart broke loose so today we will be fighting a boggart. So as you all know the spell is Riddickulus. You have to think about what makes you laugh as it is laughter that truly does get the bastards back in there closets. Now line up in alphabetical order by last name." The professor waved his hand and the desks disappeared. Student after student faced the Bogart. Many had fears that Julietta viewed a pointless like a fear of heights and a fear of spiders. Others she found more reasonable like a fear of family dying or a fear of death.
Her name was called and she stepped in front of the boggart it shifted shapes for a few seconds before settling on the form of her godfather. The majority of the children, on the other hand, recognized him as the dark lord himself, Grindelwald. Many began to cry and others cowered away in fear but Julietta didn't even flinch. He had spiky platinum hair with a mustache that screamed dictator. His eyes were a cold ice white that didn't hold his true evil as he was merely just a copy of the terrifying thing. He was dressed rather eccentric and with matching white hair the two could almost be related.
"Hello my darling Goddaughter." he boomed and with that, he turned into a pinata. The mention of their relation set something off in her and before she knew what she was doing he was being hit with a bat until he poped. Candy spilled everywhere before she walked to the side of the room and let someone else take their turn with the boggart. Everyone stared not knowing what to say at the new revelation. They should have felt a lot more shocked than they were but she was a Goldwood. It is only fitting that her godfather is one of the most powerful wizards to walk the face of Earth. He may have been evil but he was powerful none the less.
