Hayley and I got out of my car. We were both really excited for Lex's return. Hayley can't wait for Lex's surprise gift for Hayley for her in a few weeks from now. "He told me it was gonna be big!" Hayley cheered. I held Hayley close to me. She's grown up so fast she's already 19 now.
As we entered inside the airport a sudden jolt jumped into my heart as Hayley pointed to a direction towards mine. I fixed my sight as people were walking around infront of me so I couldn't see what Hayley was pointing at.
Until everyone just got out of the way and I saw Lex. "Finally!" I heard Hayley say in relief. Lex gave out a huge smile. Lex really looked more handsome than before. He's whiter now, muscular and its like there's color in his eyes. I actually don't know what much to say because Lex looks... Amazing like an angel. Hayley ran towards Lex and gave him a hug.
Lex looked at me and he just gave me a wave. I felt so happy as I saw him like all the happy memories just came sinking in and it stunned me to think that after how many years, here we are. I walked toward him "Jane," Lex greeted me and wrapped me around his arms. "I missed you." I felt the warmness wrap around me. I must admit I did miss Lex too. "We're glad your back." I said. "So, my gift?" Hayley blurted out and curved a teasing smile.
Lex laughed and pinched Hayley's cheeks. "Hey." Hayley annoyingly muttered. "You've grown so fast and your still the same adorable girl." Lex teased Hayley. "Do you guys know what date it is tomorrow?" Hayley asked.
We froze. "James' death anniversary." Lex whisper. Dissappointment struck me.
How could I not remember?
Oh, I remember... I never went to his grave. I wanted too but I almost went crazy when he died so Lex agreed to not let me visit James' grave yet. And I had no choice because they were pulling me back. And after a few years I just couldn't go because I was just afraid. Afraid that I couldn't take to sink into my heart that James is really gone.
"Sure, we'll go." I answered. Hayley was glad but Lex just worringly looked at me and breathed in.
