"Kill me now! Kill me!" I shouted. "And make it easy? No way." Eric rolled his eyes. "All I wanted was you, Jane. You and if I can't have you then no one will." Eric added and looked at me closer as his fingers traces on my cheek. "Don't touch me!" I shouted and moved my head as I spitted on his face. In a blink second a his hand slapped on my face. I didn't know what to say or what to react. I didn't feel anything it felt like the pain just consumed me. "You aren't getting away with this." I said seriously. I just stared into his eyes and remembered who he was. I never though that this angel faced man would turn into a monster and do this to me. I never though that he'd be capable to hurt me like this. Where is the Eric that I once knew?
Eric didn't respond. He just stared blankly into my eyes. "This isn't who you are, Eric." I added. I saw the tears swell in his eyes. Everything just went back to the past. "This is who I am, Jane." Eric finally answered. He walked away and left me in the dark. I couldn't sink it all in it seemed like the past walked right away from me and took me back with it.
Author's POV
The front door banged as Eric got up from the basment. "Eric!" there was a shout. Eric paused as his body chilled as he heard the voice it was Lex. Eric courageously opened the door. "What do you want?" Eric placed on a huge smile. In fury Lex grabbed Eric's collar an pushed him inside his house. "James go!" Eric turned around as he called James. Lex threw a fist at Eric's face. As the both were fighting James ran inside Eric's home.
"Jane! Jane!" Jane could hear James' voice calling her. "James!" Jane shouted back. James followed the voice he heard down the basement. He wanted to hold her as soon as possible and make sure she was safe. As Jane raised her head as the basement door open she knew everything was finally okay. "James!" Jane cried out happily. James came running down towards Jane as he quicklt untied her.
Jane wrapped her arms around James. "I love you, I love you!" James said to Jane as he held her face. Tears continued to stream down their faces. "Burn!" There was a shout upstairs. As Eric threw the gas on the stairs and on the door he threw his lightened match on the stairs as the flames traveled around James held Jane tighter. Suddenly Lex held Eric's neck from behind and pulled him out from the door. "James, what now?" Jane whispered.
Thr fire grew bigger. "Hold on." James whispered as he leaned down and carried Jane in his arms. "What are you doing?" Jane flinched. "James didn't answer but he held Jane tighter to make sure she'd be safe. "You'll get burned!" Jane reacted. But there was no time left as the smoke covered the room. "Better me than you." James answered and ran upstairs through the flas and threw himself on the door for it to fall off.
James bared the painn on his leg as he could till feel the stings. Jane didn't want to se James like this but there was nothing she could do now. Jane told Jame to put her down. As Jane stepped on the ground she heard a gun shot. Suddenly, Lex's body fell on the ground. Lex looked at James and Jane as Eric stood behind Lex holding the gun in his hand. "Run!" Lex threw the car keys at James. In a flash James caught it and pulled Jane.
As Lex was about to follow James and Jane, Lex pulled the gun quicly from Lex and shot Lex's leg. As Lex fellon the ground, he struggled to get up.
As James and Jane got in Lex's car. All they could do was get away. "We can't leave Lex!" Jane said. "I know, We're just gonna---" Before James could finish he turned his eyes on the side mirror and saw Eric behind them in his car. "James." Jane gasp as she held James' hand so tight, tight that James never wanted to let go anymore. James glanced at Jane "I promise you, we will make it out alive." James answered.
As both cars were beside eachother now all the tension was unavoidable. As both cars were now bumping on eachother, all their lives flashed in their eyes. "James!" Jane shouted as both their eyes were closed shut all they could hear was an explosion and all they could see now was fire and blood, and they could only smell was smoke. Still their hands were still holding.
