I slowly opened my eyes. The sunlight poking through the blinds.

Yoongi was sleeping peacefully on the couch. His hair was in a mess, but his calm expression brought me comfort.

If he and so many other cyborgs can continue to live normally, maybe I can someday. If I can stop being a target. I got up quietly not wanting to disturb his sleep and went to the bathroom. I turned on the shower and stared at my body again. This time I was self aware.

I could feel the structure of my body. Feel my artificial pulse coursing through me. Knowing that I'm not alive was strange but not terrifying. I guess a part of me already knew.

After the shower I put on a simple dress with thigh high socks. I did a French braid in my hair this time, mixing the two colors of my hair in a sort of swirl.

I left the bathroom to see Yoongi thrashing around in his sleep.

Was he having a nightmare?

I ran to him trying to wake him up from it.

I called out to him and tried to stop his movements when his eyes opened wide and he sat up into my arms.

I didn't want to be in this awkward position, but I just used it and hid my shock.

I embraced him and held him close patting his back as delicately as possible.

"It was just a dream... You re OK..." I repeated softly. When he was finally able to get a hold of his bearings instead of pushing me away he seemed to give in to my gesture.

He buried his face into my neck and we stayed like that for a moment. Then he completed the embrace by wrapping his arms around my waist. It felt like it was his way of thanking me. Acknowledging my attempt to ease his mental pain.

He seems to be the type of man to not express his feelings much. But that's OK. Sometimes you just need to search harder to see what they're trying to tell you.

I could hear two pairs of footsteps approaching the apartment door.

Yoongi straightened up seeming embarrassed by our embrace and he got up.

"I'm going to wash up..." he said and went to the bathroom.

A set of knocks on the door.

Was I supposed to answer them?

I greeted the two of them. Jimin and Tae looked to be well rested.

"Yoongi's not in his office. Is he here?" Tae had an obviously mischievous look.

I felt like if I wanted to avoid Yoongi being teased I would have to lie a little.

"No... he said we was going to run some tests last night though."

They believed the lie.

"We found out some things before I went to sleep. I think the two of you should know if we're going to work together."

We walked to small kitchen area where Tae and Jimin grabbed something to eat.

We sat down at the table.

I decided to just get to the point.

"So, we found out that I have a robotic body..."

Jimin laughed a little thinking I was joking at first.

"Wait you're serious?"

I nodded my head yes.

They both sat there in silence a heaviness in the air.

"My biggest question is why I was made to look so human." I wanted to break the silence.

"I think we should try to talk to RM's secretary..." Tae suggested.

"What are we going to ask exactly?" Jimin added.

"If he might know if his former boss was planning on mixing biology with technology." Yoongi entered the kitchen. We all looked at him. I could tell he was holding the results to the test of the sample he took from my finger. This means my skin is real, in some aspect.

"It's time to go pay Jin a visit."
