We cautiously moved through the halls of the building. I wanted Yoongi to be ok, but it was almost like he was on autopilot just so that we can get out of this situation. I couldn't try to talk to him to understand what was wrong even if I had the time to.

I wish I could have stopped JK01 entirely. An alarm then went off and the emergency lights were on. The hallways were now lit with red flashing lights.

"JK01 turned on the emergency lock down system." I told Jimin and Tae.

"Got it! hacking into the system now!" Jimin replied.

"On my way." Tae mentioned right after him.

I needed to get to the stairs but there must be some bodies there waiting for us.

"Just a warning there are roughly 20 bodies in the staircase but there's double that coming up in the elevators." Jimin sounded a bit stressed. I could hear him typing away.

"We need to move quickly" I told Yoongi. He just stared at me blankly. If we didn't fight on the stairs fast enough, they will have us surrounded once they come out of the elevators.

I opened the door and stretched my arm out allowing my implant to create the electric sword while still holding onto the hand gun in my other hand.

I went first not knowing if Yoongi was able to fight through this with me.

I jumped down a flight of stairs seeing that there were some there, I shot one down and sliced through the other.

The fighting began. They all shot at me and tried to attack me with their own blades. It felt easy to me, like I could calculate their movements and know who was going to attack me first.

I fought through them and made sure none of them hit Yoongi as he followed behind me. He surprised me by shooting down some of them ahead of me. At least he was still able to fight.

We ran down the stairs hearing the other bodies moving into the staircase from where we entered.

Finally, we made it to the exit and though it was locked up Tae had cut through the metal allowing us to escape easily. The three of us ran away from the area eventually meeting up with Jimin when we knew we were safe.

"That was amazing!" Jimin seemed excited by the thrill of the rescue.

"Just like old times" Tae wrapped his arm around Jimin's shoulders.

I looked at Yoongi and saw he was still in that state of shock.

"Did he do something to you?" I asked him.

He didn't even look at me. "I don't want to talk about it..." he walked ahead of us as we went back to the library.

Once we got inside, we locked down the entire building to keep us safe and Yoongi locked himself in his apartment.

"Is he going to be okay? I asked the other two.

"He's acting the same way as when he lost Hoseok..."

He seemed empty. A hollow shell so fragile he could collapse if I poked him the wrong way.

"I guess it's best to leave him to his own thoughts?" I added.

"For now, yeah" Tae said. "By the way your jump was crazy cool"

It took me a second to realize he was changing the subject.

"Oh ... Thanks..." I looked at my body as I realized how painful my flesh was in certain areas where the glass shards stabbed into me.

"Want me to help you extract them?" Jimin asked with concern as he realized, I had wounds and that I was actually in pain.

"That would be great"

We went into his apartment as mine was still completely trashed. Tae took out the first aid kit they had stored in their washroom.

"Why do you have that here?" I asked as it seemed to be a lot of product just for the two of them.

Jimin blushed slightly and Tae seemed guilty in a funny way.

I put two and two together and understood that Tae might feed from Jimin every so often.

Tae left the two of us alone in the washroom as he went to get changed.

Jimin helped me remove the suit carefully to not cause more damage to my wounds.

I was in my underwear now, but I didn't feel shy with Jimin.

He never made me feel like he saw me as anything other than a close friend.

He took out some tools and began removing the glass.

I did my best not to flinch, but it was painful.

"You really took risks today to save Yoongi." he tried to distract me.

"Yeah... But a part of me feels like maybe he didn't want to be saved... Or that I did something wrong."

Every shard he took out he disinfected and bandaged. I should heal completely within two days with no scars left behind as I was designed to heal like that.

"We won't know why he seems lost until he tells us..."

"Will he ever tell us?"

"I don't know..."

We fell silent as he continued to remove glass.

He was now checking my legs and removed a few pieces from my thighs and then he seemed to hesitate on one wound on my right thigh.

"Something wrong?" I asked as I looked at it.

Then I saw it didn't really look like glass. It looked like some form of thin metal.

Jimin didn't seem sure about pulling it out. Maybe he thought it was my inside robotic structure.

I took the tweezers from him and poked at it. When I was certain it wasn't actually a part of me I took it out.

And there it was...

We both stared at it in wonder.

Was it pure luck or fate that this had stuck into me as I tumbled on the ground after crashing through the window?

Looking at it longer I began to understand what it was.

"I think I'm going to need your help..." I said to Jimin as I felt a sliver of hope.

This is how I can help him...

This is how I can save Yoongi from himself.
