He's never used his ability to force me to do what he wanted.

He has had moments where the virus seems to take control, but it has never been so sudden.

I shivered as I knew I couldn't escape him. As he moved my head, I felt my tears falling from my cheeks.

I'm terrified.

He's never frightened me like this.

I can't snap him out of it.

I was so close to the door, but I couldn't move at all.

I could feel his breath on my neck now.

He was going to either kill me or turn me. I honestly didn't know.

The front door opened and Hoseok was in view. We had informed him that the virus might be unstable at times but didn't have enough time to really let him know how to deal with the situation. He didn't know that Tae could control anyone.

He punched Tae in his face so fast he couldn't react, and he fell from the sheer force of it.

Yoongi was right behind him and he grabbed me knowing I couldn't move myself.

"Stop!" Tae yelled out to everyone. I felt myself unable to move again and Yoongi also seemed stuck in place.

Yoongi's brain is still human so vampires still have an effect. I looked to Hoseok and could tell immediately that Tae's command had no effect on him. Then Yumi bolted into the room and without hesitation grappled Tae. Maybe because both their minds are made of artificial matter a vampire's command is ineffective?

As Tae yelled out and struggled Hoseok punched him again with so much force it knocked him out instantly.

Yoongi and I loosened up as he no longer had us in control.

I was panting and still crying.

Yumi dragged Tae's unconscious body to the safe room and locked him in it.

Yoongi looked at me and tried to calm me down when he looked at my neck.

That's when I realized Tae had sunken his teeth into my flesh right before Hoseok punched him.

Yumi examined it. I was ready to panic thinking he could have poisoned me.

"You're fine" she reassured me. " from my studies we'd see the virus spread from the bite." There was a collective sigh in the room.

"Thanks for coming..." I managed to say after I stopped my sobs.

"What happened?" Yoongi knew all too well that we normally have time before Tae loses himself when he gets this kind of urge.

"I don't know... It happened so fast and then he just snapped. ... That's not the man I love..." I wanted to cry again but I tried to keep myself together. "That's a monster..."

"The Virus must be adapting... It's been years and he hasn't changed anyone." Hoseok mentioned.

Yoongi nodded his head agreeing with him.

"What does that mean? Are we going to eventually loose Tae all together?" I sobbed unable to stay composed.

Yumi held my shoulder trying to comfort me. "I'll search for a cure before that happens"

"There is no cure..." I whispered.

We were all silent for a moment. Yoongi then straitened up.

"Maybe we just didn't have the right material but... Now we might..." He looked at Yumi as if she would understand what he was talking about.

Her eyes widened. "I guess we have something to thank Jungkook for... I'll start making tests! Will you help me with this Hoseok?"

He seemed to be slightly surprised by her motivation and her wanting his help. Yoongi also seemed surprised she didn't ask him to help. Or maybe I was interpreting his facial expression wrong. Yumi and Hoseok left in a hurry.

I looked at the door to the safe room feeling Tae's presence again. He was hitting the door trying to get out, but it was too strong of a material to break.

Every sound scared me and made me flinch.

I had no hope left.

I should have known we were destined to fall apart.

We were never meant to be...

I left our apartment unable to listen to his shouting anymore.

Is there really a point to holding onto false hope?

Maybe I should just focus on being prepared to live life without him.

For my own survival.
