How could Jungkook mess up so badly? Was Yumi able to outsmart him?

I paced back and forth waiting for an update.

Jungkook got injured but lost most of the men I was paying to help him.

From what he said she did all the work too.

Jumping from one building and crashing through the lab window? Not only was she capable of humanly impossible tasks she was able to take risks like humans do.

There was a knock on my office door and Jin came in.

"Jimin and Yumi are here to speak with you. I know they didn't have an appointment, but it seems urgent."

Anxiety swept over me...

Were they here to eliminate me? What could Jimin think of me now that he knows I have been planning this?

"Let them in" I said confidently. The exact opposite of how I was really feeling.

Jin opened the door wider and let the two of them in.

Yumi looked flawless. Not a scratch on her and Jimin looked ready to get to the point.

"Take a seat" I offered trying to pretend that I wasn't working with Jungkook. Maybe they don't know?

"We'll stand." Yumi answered.

I sat down in my own chair. Easy access to my hidden gun if I needed it. I hope I don't need it though. Hurting Jimin is the last thing I would ever want to do.

"We know everything." Jimin started. "That you helped fake JK01'S death so that he could pay you back with a supply of robots that are undetectable."

"You wanted them to seem human but made strong to fight if they needed to in any situation. We all understand that you wanted these robots to be able to do the dirty work. To clean up the city by any means necessary." Yumi continued.

They both seemed to be trying there best to not be mad with me. But if they did know... Maybe they would understand better.

"I never wanted a robot that was self aware... Or had an A.I. as advanced as yours, Yumi..." I wanted to make this clear.

"You should have told us that you needed people to do some dirty work for you... For the city..." Jimin was beginning to show his frustration.

"I don't want anyone I care about to get hurt anymore. We lost so many to get to where we are today."

"Back then was different... We weren't legal at all and had no support from any government officials."

He had a point, but I still feel more comfortable with using robots instead of my friends...

"Look..." Yumi was butting in now. "I can understand wanting to avoid real casualties but Yoongi was more then able to make these for you and he wouldn't have gotten carried away like Jungkook did in creating me."

"I thought he would be to sensitive to the idea..."

"And he wouldn't be sensitive to being kidnapped, basically reliving the worst part of his life to have to confront JK01 alone... Again?" Jimin was now becoming mad. I could tell by the way his mouth twitched.

"I never gave the order for him to touch any of you. I only wanted Yumi."

"You know JK01! How could you just sit there and pretend to believe he would ever listen to you?!" Jimin slapped his hand on my desk.

Yumi put her hand on Jimin's shoulder trying to calm him down a bit.

She was so calm. She seemed to be focused on something... What did she really want from me?

"What's done is done, all we can do now is discuss where we go from here."

All my funds to Jungkook made her. I guess she wouldn't just let me use her for my original plans. Not without a price.

"I'm listening."

"I think we can all agree that you should cut your ties with Jungkook."

"Yes."

"Jimin, Yoongi and Tae have all been thinking about making a new company, more underground and secret but one that helps the city, even if it's tough."

"Like what we used to do in the rebel group... Before we got tied up in politics" Jimin added.

"I would be comfortable joining them and working with them to make this city a better place. We would be doing exactly what you wanted those robots to do for you."

"What do you want from me?" there must be a catch...

"You back us up and support us, obviously secretly but I think its a good deal to have people you trust work with you. This way everyone gets to have what they want and we don't need to cause any unnecessary arguments."

She was good at selling this. She's right this would be what I wanted. I started to feel stupid in not talking to them more about my plans. About the future of this city. I lost sight of the leader I used to be the moment I became the leader of this whole city. Politics stop you from doing anything publicly drastic. Hence why I felt the need for secrecy.

I fell into that trap, maybe this will make me a better leader then the others before me. I should have trusted the people who fought with me in the beginning. I shouldn't have abandoned them. I now understand Yoongi's frustration with me. His disappointment. He'd lost so much because he believed in my cause, in our beliefs and I just shut him and everyone out.

"So, I just fund you making you an official but unofficial group working for me."

"Yes."

Jimin was staring at me. He wanted me to do this. To make this alliance.

"What about Yoongi and Tae? Why aren't they here to make this deal?"

She didn't seem fazed by my question.

"After what happened, Yoongi thought it would be best for him to have some space to himself for a while. Tae felt the same."

I stared at her in case she was lying but even if she was, I don't think I would be able to tell.

I believed her.

"How long do you need to alter the library and to gain more people to work for us?"

They both seemed hopeful that I will agree to their terms.

"By my calculations we will need two months." Yumi was very quick with her answers. I like how direct she is.

"I'll fund you but only if my collaboration with JK01 doesn't leak. I will stop relations with him immediately as well."

"That's fine with us." Jimin said. "As long as you don't fall into his trap again."

I stood up and stuck my hand out to Yumi. "Then it's official. I'll fund you for your services. And in return I want to know everything you, as a group do. I will also call upon you for any missions I need dealt with. Anything to make the city a better place. The city we deserve. " She took my hand firmly agreeing to these terms.

"Pleasure doing business with you." She smiled which made me smile awkwardly. Why did I feel the need to smile back?

I shook Jimin's hand as well.

They both left my office.

I looked to my tablet and wrote out a message.

"I will have to terminate our relations. I will no longer fund you, be sure that I will put an end to what goes on in the shadows of this city. I will right my wrongs. I will bring peace."

These are my final words to JK01. I will never forget who I was...

Never.
