The Return

Chapter 23

Jungkook was definitely going to use Yoongi to get to me. There was no doubt in my mind.

Jimin found a building to hide out in as he hacked into camera systems to keep an eye out on activity that we might not see out in the field of action.

We had ear pieces to communicate with each other as well.

Tae went to the spot I told him he wouldn't be found.

The plan I came up with was a risky one and completely based on how far I can push myself physically but if it goes as planned then we will save Yoongi and stop Jungkook. I picked a different building from Tae's and found a spot to set up.

I took off my trench coat and began to assemble my rifle.

I sat close to the edge of the building, looked through the scope and found the room they were keeping Yoongi in.

"What can you see?" Tae spoke through my ear piece.

"Yoongi seems intact. I have visual on JK01"

"What's happening?" Jimin asked me clearly focused on the other surveillance cameras he was looking through.

"I think he's extracting something from Yoongi's mind..."

I didn't have enough time to really look at everything when a man walked into the lab.

I read their lips as they spoke to each other.

"A security guard just mentioned that one of their sensors were triggered. Good thing we knew JK01 would be expecting us." I spoke.

"He must have upped security after my easy break in..." Tae laughed.

"JK01 seems stressed. I think he didn't expect us to be so close so soon."

"Well I have to admit we're a lot faster now then we used to be back in the day." Jimin sounded proud.

"Well part of that has to do with not having a leader anymore." Tae added.

"He's waking Yoongi up..." I hushed the two of them as I concentrated.

Yoongi seemed horrified when he woke up. Possibly some bad flashbacks.

Jungkook was talking to Yoongi for a while. I couldn't figure out what it was about. Yoongi didn't seem to be very responsive.

"You got roughly 40 bodies entering your building Yumi"

Bodies used to be the term the rebels used to call the opposing team.

I knew my building had to have the trip wire in it. That's why I told Tae to take the other one.

"Tae you still have visual on me?"

"Yeah. Perfectly clear and in range."

Luckily the buildings were built quite close together for my plan to work.

I need to stay where I am as long as possible for them to fall for the bait if they have eyes on me.

"They're 20 floors below you Yumi" Jimin gave an update.

Yoongi seemed to have an expression of contemplation.

Did JK01 just give him a choice to make?

I looked to see what Jungkook was holding in his hands.

"10 floors below you." Jimin's update.

JK01 was holding a chip.

"Five floors..."

What could be so important about that chip?

"Two floors"

I must act now.

I took my aim and exhaled. I shot the window also hitting JK01's wrist causing his hand to explode.

Now that the window had a weak point, I needed to complete the second step of the plan.

I stood up and ran to the other end of the roof top. I needed a good running start to make this happen.

As I started to run to the edge the bodies came onto the roof. They shot at me, but Tae shot the men down before they could really take aim.

I jumped off the edge with intense power. I put all my strength into it and I crashed through the labs window.

I tumbled luckily the suit I had on protected my flesh from most of the glass and I stopped my tumble when I was on my feet. I stood up but JK01 was already out of the room.

Running away from his own creation like a coward.

I didn't have time to remove the shards that stuck into my body

Yoongi looked to be in utter shock. Unable to react.

I freed him from the straps on the chair.

"Yoongi? You ok? Did he do anything to you?"

All he could mutter was "he's gone... He's really gone..."

Was he talking about that chip?

"We need to go now..." I spoke to him softly.

I helped him stand up and I went to the door taking out my hand gun.

"Yoongi you know how to use this right?"

Finally, he snapped out of it knowing this situation was more important for now.

He grabbed the second one I had attached to my suit. He was ready to shoot if necessary.

"Got Yoongi. Time for phase 2."
