"I CAN'T BELIVE YOU FUCKING BROKE THE ISLAND SIGN! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH DOES THAT MEAN?" Doug was screaming In his phone as Bryce explained.
"Douggie. Look, it was self defense!"
"YOU STARTED IT ALL! DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO PICK ON THAT GUY?"
"You know I do..."
"Who know about this?" Doug asked.
"Me and you and the guy..."
"Sean?"
"Didn't want to listen."
"ok. Just go home. I've got you."
"Thanks a lot. And sorry."
"Don't worry. And PLEASE at least try to stay out of troubles."
Doug was pitying Bryce. He had no father figure. His mom was always busy and his brother was also busy. Doug wanted to help all of them.
"Hey mom, is it OK if Doug comes over for dinner?" Bryce asked his mom some days after the incident.
"Yeah, sure, why not" Valerie answered. "I'm glad you two get along so well."
"Maybe if you'd get a job you wouldn't have time to hang out with significantly older dudes!" Sean said eyeing his brother curiously.
"Hey! My job is to learn. And just because you're an introvert doesn't mean I can't have friends."
"I'm not an introvert, you're just an asshole. And you know what? I'm also a student. Better than you, I'd say!"
"Sean! We talked about this. If you are bothered by the fact that your brother doesn't work and you do, just quit working!" Valerie said with a sad tone.
"hey! I'm not going to quit! I'm just pissed that he does nothing for the family!"
"And what exactly you do?" Bryce said losing his temper.
"I bring money here!" Sean screamed back.
"Mom also brings us money! You are useless too!"
"Hey stop this instant! Sit back down. Both of you. We are all useful to this family. Bringing money or not, it doesn't matter."
"Stop it, mom! I'm helping us more than this prick will ever! Stop equaling me with him!" Sean said.
"Sean!" Valerie screamed after her son as he stood up and left.
"Choke on your words, ass kisser!" Bryce yelled after he was insulted by his brother.
"Sean? You ok?" Doug said as he prepared himself to enter.
Sean didn't answer and walked past him.
"Leave him..." Valerie told Doug as he was gazing after Sean.
"Well...if there's any way I can help..." Doug started.
"No. You're already helping us more than enough." Valerie said.
Sean headed to the park where he started to throw pebbles in the river.
"Broke up with girlfriend?" Shane who was coincidentally there asked the young boy.
"Mind your business. A rich dude like you has no idea how is to be in my shoes."
"Excuse me, don't you have a house? Don't you eat each time you're hungry? Don't you go to school? Don't you have people who love you?"
"Shut up! As if you don't know what I mean!" Sean responded angered.
"I was in your shoes too. I worked my ass and here I am." Shane said still not moving an inch.
Sean turned to the newcomer and faced him.
"What's your deal with mom?"
