"Mistake or not, you're having a child and you'll have to raise it." Robert went on.

"I can't!" Shane screamed.

"You don't want to!"

"Also true! You know what? It's her mistake too! What did she expect? That I will immediately take her in with our kid ? What am I, hotel?"

"You told her you love her..."

"Define love, Robert! I love her in my way!"

"Loved."

"Doesn't change much."

"Seems like money is in your blood."

"You know that damn well! I've worked for all of them. I could've had a family countless times before now! Guess what? I don't want it! A little noisy child to spend my time and energy? No thanks!"

"Shane, man up!" Robert said grabbing Shane's shoulders.

"Robert, there is no way I'm raising this child. If it'd be possible I'd never want to see it!"

"You're a pussy, Shane. Don't do anything you'll regret later. It's my only advice."

"See you later, Robert!" Shane said as Robert got ready to leave.

The millionaire remained alone in his huge villa. For a minute he imagined Valerie sitting on his couch, and a little black haired girl running from a room to another.

"Take care, sweetie!" He even faintly heard her voice. He imagined he'd rise the girl high in his arms, he'd spoil her and she'd love him. But it was all for a moment. Shane shooed these thoughts knowing he hasn't got the heart to do it.

He sat in the living room, gazing at the immense ceiling and thinking. Should he really deny the child? He doesn't want it, but now it's here. What should he do? With an uneasy feeling he reached to his phone.

"Hello?" A voice responded at the other end.

"Dad? It's Shane." He spoke with his voice trembling.

"Son! How are you? We're currently in Europe."

"Not really well, dad." He let it slip.

"What's wrong?"

"Dad, remember when I was young and I said I want to be like you?"

"How could I forget, Shane?"

"I'm never going to catch you!" Shane said almost crying.

"You already surpassed me much!"

"You are a smart and succesful man, but more important, the best dad!" Shane's voice trembled.

"Shane... I'm not that good...I had my flaws into raising you."

"No...you were the best!"

"Son, is something wrong?"

"I'm scared, dad."

"Of what?"

"How did you learn all of this?"

Even if Shane wasn't giving all the details, his father knew what he meant.

"Shane, when I first saw you you were beautiful. So small and cute! I adored you. But when I entered the house with you, I realized I'm on my own, well with your mom also. I was overprotecting you, I was scared something would happen to you, I didn't dare to let anything get near you. It came with time. I tried to fit on your needs. I wanted you to try everything so you'll discover your passion. I loved you Shane. And I love you and I'll always love you. Looking back, there's many things I wish I had done for you, and as many I wish I hadn't. But you turned just great. So don't worry. Just go with the flow."

Shane could sense his father's smile through his words and shredded a tear by the end of the story.

"Don't cry, Shaney. When the time comes, you'll be a great dad!"

"Thanks..."

"Seems like boys will be boys forever!"

"I love you,dad!"

"Me too. Now breathe, calm down and everything is going to work out, eventually! Aren't you the most succesful businessman?"

"Haha, thanks dad! For everything!"

"Take care, son!"

"Will do so! Bye!"

"Bye!"

And with that, Shane wiped away his tears. His father was the best, but he knew he'll never reach his level.
