Sean was sitting in the front and the two classmates in the back. Alisha shredded a tear on the way. Bryce tapped her shoulder without a word. He let his hand slide to her hand and they stayed hand in hand until they arrived.

"I'll drop you at the end of the street so it won't rise suspicions. My advice is to directly tell her. That way she won't ask where have you been pretty soon. Anyways as a backup just say you lost the counting of the time." Doug stopped the car.

"You're the best, Doug!" Bryce got down.

"Thanks man! Again!" Sean said as Alisha climbed his old seat.

"No problem! Take care!" Doug responded as Alisha waved them bye.

The two of them ran to their house.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YU BEEN? WHY DIDN'T YOU ANSWER MY CALLS? I WAS FREAKED OUT! BETTER HAVE A LONG STORY!" Valerie raged as the two boys entered.

"Mom! First of all I'm sorry. Second of all I don't actually have a girlfriend. Third..." he looked at Sean.

"Garret Iverson died today at the hospital around lunch time." Sean said stepping up.

"Oh my God!" Valerie said. "Why none of you said a thing until now? Bryce that was the big news?"

"Yes...I'm sorry... I didn't find the words." Bryce lowered his head.

"We heard from Alisha who's been there. Along the Whites, Iversons and Doug." Sean said.

"And Shane..." Bryce added earning an elbow in his stomach from his older brother.

"My God! I had no idea!"

"Nor his family. Seems like he had a diasea and he kept it secret." Sean explained. "Well, Robert knew."

"And Shane..." Bryce said again earning a death glare from his brother this time.

"God!" Valerie said lowering herself on the couch and sighing.

The three went to bed early that night.

Doug turned the car around to get to his home. Albert agreed to let Alisha stay with him overnight.

"Soooo... About Valerie!" Alisha said.

"Oh... well... she hugged me the whole night. And then I cooked breakfast for her. And you know, we chatted until you texted me." Doug said, sorrow taking over him at the last sentence.

"Yeah... and you had a good time?"

"Best! She didn't want to let me go."

"Oh my God. The boys have to tell her, right?"

"Yeah. Seems like it. Anyways. You said you were with Shane when you heard. You're friends now?"

"Douglas... it's not... we're not... no." Alisha said."I just saw him with Haylee the whore and chatted with him after. It happened that Robert called in the meantime and I got really worried. He dropped me home from the hospital and that was it."

"Haylee Hudson." Said Doug. "It's rude to judge people based only by rumours."

"Gosh...I don't even want to see the proof." Alisha turned away.

"Anyways, Shane is a dick." Doug said.

"You confronted him about the whole baby thing?" Alisha looked at him.

"Didn't have the chance nor the spirit." Responded the millionaire.

"Yeah..."

"You didn't tell me you're 'on good terms' with him." Doug went on with his interrogation.

"What's bothering you so much? It's not like I ain't gonna love you because I'm cool with him."

"It's not that. He's just a prick."

"You said dick." The teen chuckled.

"And you don't repeat my bad words. Well, only if you want Albert to never allow you to see me."

"I'd sneak as I did with Axel."

"Yeah. Your ex turned a dick too, right? Albert knew what he knew."

"Since I dumped him, I can't tell."

"Head over heels as always."

"I'm wearing sneakers." Alisha chuckled to her godfather.

"The point is Shane ain't a good man. If you want to befriend him it's up to you. I'm only saying you should be careful." Doug went on.
