After her shift Valerie thought again and again if she should really do it. Making her mind, she walked towards Shane's house. She thought of turning around a couple times but eventually reached there. She rang the doorbell with her heart racing.

"Valerie?" Shane opened the door with surprise.

"Shane...I'm sorry... I... you know what? Never mind. Sorry. Pretend this never happened." She said trying to leave, but Shane managed to grab her wrist.

"You're not going anywhere without explaining yourself! Come in!" He said as Valerie stepped inside feeling insecure. The house felt the same for her even if it passed quite some time since she last went there.

Unfortunately for Valerie, just at that moment, the Whites were driving past Shane's house and Alisha's vigilent eye spotted everything.

"Was that Valerie Vidal entering Shane's house?" Holly asked from the front seat.

"It seemed like. Weren't they through? I thought she's with Douggie now." Albert responded. "Alisha, have you seen it?"

"Mmm-hmm" she answered.

"What should we do?" Albert said viewing his daughter in the mirror.

"Leave it to me. I'm not about to let Douglas be a bitch's toy!" The young girl declared.

"I'd say we stay out of it. But even if we're wrong, Doug should know." Holly said. "You go, girl!" She turned to Alisha.

"You bet I do!" She winked and they drove further without a care in the world.

Back to Shane's house, Valerie made her mind to talk to him.

"So? What are you doing here?" Shane asked his unexpected guest.

"I wanted to talk to you." Valerie said.

"About?"

"Our child." She said putting a hand over her bump which was slightly visible through her clothing.

"Oh...yeah...well...it is mine, what can I say." Shane eyed the woman.

"Shane, you know raising it would be impossible for me alone." Valerie cut to the point.

"Don't worry, I'm a millionaire after all, I can support all of it's expenses."

"No, I mean morally. It's tough to raise a kid without a dad, I've raised two! The only difference was that their dad was a total asshole. They are by far better without him." Valerie said.

"What makes you think I'm better than him?" Shane said.

"You aren't an abusive alcoholic." Valerie said. "You don't know Magnus, he was a brute, he had no feelings, I thank God everyday He set me free." Valerie said. "But you are nothing like him. You can be the perfect dad for this kid, Shane. I know that! Don't be afraid! We're in this together. You can do it!" Valerie took his hand in hers.

"Would you... forgive me... if I'd promise you I'll try my best?" Shane locked eyes with her.

"Of course! Shane, it's true I didn't want to see your face ever again after what you said in the park, but now, thinking at the kid, and knowing how great you are, I'll forgive you, Shane. Let's start from scratch."

"Valerie, if anyone should apologize it's me. I'm not going to leave you alone through this. I'll be by your side. Thank you!" He said.

"I love you, Shane!" She said hugging him tightly.

Valerie ended up staying at Shane overnight.
