There is much trouble in Paradise

Chapter 12

"One more thing." Shane asked the young lady from his passenger seat.

"What?"

"Your opinion about Fiona Her-"

"SHE'S A BITCH! SHE RUINED MY LIFE!"

"Well...your father cheated..."

"I didn't say he's better. And no, I'm not defending Lola, she left me without a twitch, but dad still cared about me."

"You're not Fiona's child so why she'd care about you?"

"Thanks God I'm not. Anyways, this discussion is pointless." Alisha said turning to the window.

They reached the White residence after some time.

"Thanks for the ride." Alisha said getting out of the car.

"Thanks for the info." Shane winked to her.

"Secrets are made to be told." Said Alisha as she closed Shane's door.

"Spoiled kid." Shane muttered driving away. He was curious about what will happen further with the girl.

He drove farther when he saw some police officers beating up a shorter man. At a closer look it was no other than Bryce Vidal.

"Hey! Hey! He's a kid, leave him alone!" Shane screamed getting out of the car.

"Sir, please don't get involved. He was beating a man and he opposed to our arrest. It's only the protocol." A policeman explained.

"But he's only a kid." Shane looked at Bryce. His eyes were wet and red and blood was dripping from his arms, face, head amd body. It was raining heavily and his clothes were soaked and bloody.

"Please..." Bryce said before stopping shaking. He was immediately taken into the car and took away.

Shane waited some time before taking after the police car.

Bryce was taken to the holding cell. He didn't dare to call his mother nor Doug given the last events. He called Sean.

"WHAT HAVE YOU GOT YOURSELF INTO?" Sean screamed.

"I need help! Please talk to Doug!"

"I texted him, but he just set the automatic to answer he's busy. I'll tell mom."

"NO! NO! Just come here. Maybe you can convince them."

"I'll see." Sean said before Bryce was forced to hang up.

Sean's hand was trembling as he searched through contacts and stopped at one. Shane Powell. He didn't like him but had to do it for his brother's sake.

"Hello?"

"Shane? It's Sean Vidal."

"Sean! Are you OK?"

"Me? Yes. But Bryce got arrested. I tried to ask Doug for help, but he's unreachable and mom can't know. Please, I wouldn't call you if it wouldn't be needed." Sean pleaded.

"So I didn't mistake him. I saw him not long ago beaten up by the police as they took him to the station. I'm on my way, I'll get there in no time and then take him home. Relax."

"Beaten up? How bad?"

"You don't want to know. Oh and you go make sure your mother doesn't arrive before us."

"OK,  I won't disappoint you!"

"Me neither!"

"Thanks Shane!"

"No problem!" Shane ended the conversation as he reached the station.

"I want to pay for Bryce Vidal's release!" Shane stormed through the station.

"Bryce Vidal...brought here today... charged with 5.000 dollars."

Shane made the smart move to withdraw some money before coming.

"Here you are." He handed the money to the woman as she starred in shock.

"He'll be here soon."
