"Who was that guy?" Sean said following his mom into the back.
"Just another Mr Perfect trying to hit on me." Valerie said. "Don't worry."
"That's why you're blushing?" Sean asked a little pissed. He didn't like Shane.
"Sean! Mind your business. Shouldn't you go to work?"
Sean left without a word.
"Bro! I missed you!" Bryce greeted Sean."
"Get lost." Sean said ignoring his brother. "Learn to clean your own shit"
"Hey, Sean! I-"
"Bye!" Sean said leaving.
Bryce sighed as he took out his phone.
"Hello...Doug... I need some help..."
"I can't belive the youngster destroyed a sign!" Shane exclamed as he sipped the tea Robert made for him. He went to him the next morning as promised.
"He destroyed it with another dude's face. He was only defending himself" Robert chuckled.
"What's going to happen now?"
"Doug already payed the repairings." Robert said.
"Of course, right? How did you find out anyways?"
"Garret told me."
"I'm sorry...who?" Shane asked at the new name.
"Oh...my brother."
"You have a brother?"
"Younger. He never left the island, I mean for work. He has a family and a percent of the income." Robert explained.
"I see. Lived in your shadow."
"Not really. He was always more successful than me. He had everything I could dream of. Even so, he wished to be like me. He's so dumb! I'd give my life for his anytime and he's sad he's not like me?"
"Wow. I'm an only child."
"That's also a thing. Hey, tell me more about you." Robert said.
"Well... mom and dad are visiting the world on my money and... I own lots of companies... as for my past... I grew up in New York but it tired the hell out of me so here I am. As passions I'm jack of all trades I can do basically anything from chess to guitar, I know mixology, a little alchemy, I can cook pretty decent, I even won an ice skating contest!"
"Wow that's a lot."
"Not to mention my girlfriends. I'm actually more one night stand type."
"I figured."
"What about you?" Shane asked.
"Well I grew up on this very mountains, in that big rustic house you can see on the window. I left for college in Washington and worked as a salesman for some time, until they called me to take after my mom." Robert said. "I can't say I have passions and as skills I'm pretty good at diving."
"And your dad?" Shane asked.
"He passed when I was in high school."
"Sorry. But, why didn't your brother take the business if you don't want?"
"He... didn't want either. I'm used to sacrifice for him so it was just another case." Robert said. "I decided to give him a percent so he'll live as well as me."
"How much?"
"43%"
"Are you kidding me? That's almost a half!" Shane said bewildered.
"I know...but as I wish it not more than him... it's the same for me."
"I'm telling you! If you'd have started it you would never give it away like this."
"Maybe. The company seems to be your child, but for me it's just a legacy."
"We're from close, but different worlds, pal" Shane told Robert
"True." Robert nodded.
