Anthony

We arrive in Pittsburg for a winner takes all wild card game. We would have the probable Cy Young award winner and probable rookie of the year playing for the probable manager of the year on a team full of young and electric talent. So basically we were liking our odds to win this game and move on to the NLDS.

Before it was game time I walk around the city with Clara under my arm. She sent off her paintings to whoever it was who was asking for them and she was stressing that the people wouldn't like them. I don't know why, anyone with eyes would admire her work. Especially the euphoria one, that was definitely my favorite. But I convinced her to come to Pittsburgh and hang out with me and some of the guys' families. Get her mind off of the paintings for a little and experience playoff baseball.

But before the game I wanted to grab some food and walk around for a little. I don't like the Pirates but I do love their field. One of the best ball parks out there.

So we grab some barbecue and enjoy the nice weather. It was kind of chilly, especially being along the water and all, but I didn't mind any. I loved seeing the wind whip through her long brown hair and she loved having something new to look at. Not that Chicago wasn't nice to look at, but something you don't want to stare into your reflection from the bean anymore. And this place provided a lot to look at.

"Where is your favorite place to play" Clara asks me as we stroll around the park. Her fingers laced through mine as we walk against the wind.

"You mean besides Wrigley" I ask and she laughs.

"Yeah, besides Wrigley" she insists.

"That's hard to say. I would say Miller Park because whenever we play there there's more Cubs fans than Brewers. But if we're not basing it off of how many people in the stadium will be cheering for me, I would say either here or Marlins Park with that terrible slide sculpture they have" I explain and she giggles.

"I would love to see said horrible sculpture one day" she claims.

"Good. Because I plan on being with you for the rest of my life, so I know one day we will be out there" I assure her.

"That sounds wonderful" she smiles.

I get to the park and they let her down on the field to watch warm ups. She hangs out with Farrah and watches batting practice with the kids. The Cubs organization always took the extra step to make sure our families were treated right and it was one of the many perks of playing for such a incredible team.

Eventually some of the guys from the Pirates team come out and Hudson being the baseball feen he is asks for their autograph. Some of the guys stop to talk to him and sign his baseball. After a while I see someone stop to talk to Clara.

I prop myself up off the batting cage and squint to get a closer look. I see someone who I think is Jordy Mercer leaning against the dugout trying to get a closer look at her. He shamelessly checks her out as she tries to get him to sign the ball she had for Hudson in her hands.

He takes the ball from her hands and she goes to retreat it but he holds on to her. I can see her try to pull it away nicely but he doesn't get the memo. I feel every muscle in my body tense up as I wanted to walk myself over there but I wouldn't allow myself to move. He finally lets her go and signs the ball before handing the ball back to her. They continue to talk for a little and I could practically feel my blood boil.

"Woah, Tony, you're as red as tomato" Dexter notices as my stare becomes heavy.

"Who is that talking to Clara" I ask and he looks over.

"Oh, that's Jordy" he noticed. Just what I thought.

"I think I'm going to kill him" I say and Dexter whips his head back around to me.

"I'm sorry what" he asks.

"I'm going to kill him" I repeat myself.

"After what happened to Clara's last boyfriend I think there's some better words for you to choose from here" he claims.

We look over and he reaches across the dugout to tuck a piece of hair behind her ear. She suddenly steps back and starts to shake her head. I can tell she was uncomfortable and I think I have seen enough.

"Okay, maybe you can kill him" Dexter admits as he watches this guy not get the hint.

"Thank you" I mumble as I walk off.

I make my way over to them and place myself between the too. Clara smiles big as she lets out a long sigh when I arrive.

"Anthony" she smiles as I walk over to her. I wrap my arms around her and place a long kiss on her lips. I can feel her smile as I pull her close. "Anthony this is Jordy. Jordy, like I said, this is my boyfriend Anthony" she says and he reluctantly shakes my hand.

"You're a lucky man" he insists.

"I know" I assure him as he starts to glare at me.

Eventually he gets the message and says goodbye before leaving. We watch him disappear into the clubhouse before she lets out a grunt.

"What was that about" I ask and she turns to me.

"I know you were watching the whole time" she accuses and my cheeks turn red. "Why didn't you come sooner? I thought I was actually going to have to give him a fake phone number so he would leave me the hell alone" she claims.

"I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt" I shrug.

"The only benefit I got from that exchange was the knowledge that I picked up a great guy. Because he... he is a nightmare" she insists.

"Did he say something he shouldn't have" I question. My voice raising with each passing moment. She notices my distress and places her small hand over my heart.

"Nothing I haven't heard before" she assures me.

"Is that supposed to make me feel better" I scoff and she smiles.

"Yes" she admits.

"Well it didn't" I tease.

"Look. You were here when I needed you most and that's all that matters" she insists.

"As long as your okay I'm okay" I claims.

"I'm okay" she smiles. "And I think it's really cute when you're jealous."

"Jealous? I wasn't jealous" I defend.

"Then what would you call that feeling you had when you were over there and he was over here" she questions.

"Jealousy" I admit and she giggles.

"Come here" she says pulling me down into a kiss. Suddenly I wasn't all that upset anymore.

"You're mine, you know that right" I ask.

"I'm all yours."
