Daisy Claire Rizzo was born August 2nd 2016 at 10:47 pm. She was a small little thing, just five pounds and two ounces. But she was fully developed and I was able to get her everything I needed to in order for her to develop all her organs correctly. I wasn't able to hold her right when she was born, for she did have some breathing problems as they predicted, but they got her taken care of. And the doctors did such a good job of taking care of me too, making sure my blood pressure was good and there was no more protein in my urine. They dodged a big bullet catching that infection when they did. A lot of times it goes unnoticed which is what causes complications to the mother of the child during birth. Luckily for us we were both expected to make a full recovery and be able to leave the hospital eventually.

But with Daisy being premature we still had to wait to hold her, to even see her. We could watch her from behind a bunch of glass windows in the nicu as she got treated, but until she was strong enough to be out here that's all we could do. But they gave her a pink Cubs onesie and a painters hat so we knew which one was ours and I had to say, it was pretty precious. I already loved the hell out of the little girl and I couldn't wait to hold her in my arms. She was already so strong and I can't wait to watch her grow up in my front of my very eyes.

Finally, two days after she was born, I was able to hold her in my arms. She was all bundled up in a blanket as she rested on my chest, just peacefully existing. She was so small but she had a nice color to her and her eyes were open. Her little lips pursed together as she looks up at me. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I've created a lot of amazing things in my life, but nothing like this.

"Hey little one" I say and she looks up at me. Her big blue eyes meet mine as she tries to figure out what the hell is going on. "It's such a pleasure to meet you" I insist.

She opens her mouth but doesn't makes any noises. It looked like she was trying to talk to me, but it wasn't working out so well for her.

"You know that she doesn't know what you're saying, right" Anthony asks as he stands in the doorframe. I smile at him as he makes his over to me.

I was being released today so he was out getting my things out of this room and into the car. They decided to bring Daisy out to finally meet her parents and he came back just in time.

"I don't know what you mean, she's a great listener" I joke and he laughs.

"How is she doing" Anthony asks as he sits on the bed next to me.

"Good. She hasn't cried since she's been in my arms so I'm doing something right" I laugh.

"She's beautiful" Anthony admits as he leans over to get a better look at her.

"Do you want to hold her" I ask.

"I'm scared" he admits.

"You'll be fine, I promise."

I rest Daisy in his arms and he smiles as big as ever as the little girl looks up at him. She looked so fragile, he looked like he was afraid he was going to crush her. But she never did break her stare from him. She had these bright blue eyes that sparkled when she blinked. Not the turquoise color I had, but still one of a kind nonetheless. She had Anthony's nose and cheeks and a head full of curly brown hair just like him. She was perfect to say the least. My little girl was everything I would dreamed she would be and more.

"This is crazy" he whispers causing her to try and search to see where his voice came from. She hasn't heard his voice before so it was all so new to her.

"She's beautiful, isn't she" I sigh.

"She really is. Can you believe we made this" he asks and I laugh at him.

"No. I really can't" I admit.

"Me neither. But no offense, this is the best feeling in the world" he claims.

"That's okay, because the feeling is mutual" I agree.

Anthony scoots in closer so Daisy could see the both of us. She was a content little thing, not very fussy and not crabby. She was just here, and it was incredible. She looks up at us as he holds her head still.

"When can we take her home" he wonders.

"Hopefully soon. Since I got released this morning if Daisy here can pass all her tests she gets to finally come home tomorrow" I explain.

"Are you coming home tonight or are you staying here with her" he asks.

"I'm not sure" I admit. "I haven't thought about it."

"You should stay here" he says and I raise my eyebrow at him.

"What? Did you kill my dog so you're having trouble finding another three legged Dalmatian with a heart over it's eye" I joke and he laughs. I mean we spent all morning getting my shit out of here for me to go home and now he doesn't want me to leave?

"No. I just have a surprise for the both of you and it would work better if you both came home at the same time" he explains.

"Well I don't think one more night in the hospital will kill me. I mean before this, that was the longest between visits to a hospital room since I was in middle school" I tease.

"Ugh you're the best. What did I do to deserve you" he sighs over dramatically.

"You knocked me up" I tease and he just laughs.

"Come on. Look at her. You cant tell me this isn't the best thing to happen to you" he insists.

"She's a part of you, so she's a part of the best thing that's ever happened to me" I counter and he couldn't help but smile. I have that effect on him.

"I love you so mcuh" he reminds me.

"I love you too."
