"No offense to Chicago, because I love Chicago, but LA is so beautiful" Clara sighs.

"You're just happy because it's warm here and you're always cold" I accuse.

"You are not wrong" she admits.

We walk around hand in hand up to the hotel room. We had just gone on a date here in LA as we were in the midst of the NLCS against the Dodgers. The series was tied at one game a piece as we come here for three games.

We get back up to the hotel room and find Kris and Jess sitting on the floor playing with Daisy. She was in her cubs onesie all ready for the game tonight.

"Did she give you guys any issues" I ask as I pick her up. Once she recognizes my face and voice she smiles up to me and that made my heart melt.

"She was an angel" Jessica assures me.

We thank them before they go get ready for the game. They wanted to have a kid of their own eventually so they always offered to watch over Daisy. She was a great baby to watch because besides the fact she was so small she was perfectly healthy and adapted her moms knack of being a creature of habits and was on a set eating and sleeping schedule which is good for us.

"I've missed you so much" I coo as I rock Daisy in my arms. She looks up at me with those big blue eyes and I couldn't help but smile.

"What are you going to do on our honeymoon when we're gone for like a week" Clara teases.

"What she's not coming" I joke and she giggles.

"Unfortunately no. Turns out it's extremely dangerous to travel to a different country with a new born premature baby" she explains.

"But she's such a great baby" I argue.

"I know she is. But I'm not risking something going wrong. Plus what all can a baby go in Italy" she wonders.

"Make me happy" I scoff.

"That's my job" she winks and I muster up a smirk.

"Ohhhh are we going to come home with baby number two" I ask and she shakes her head.

"We're waiting at least a year before having another kid. Although I just started my period and I kind of miss being pregnant. This shit sucks" she sighs.

"Do you feel well" I ask walking over to her. I rub her back with my free hand before pulling her close to me.

"I'll be fine. Just got stomach cramps, that's all" she claims.

"Why don't you go lay down. You can cuddle with Daisy and I can go get you some sprite and lady things" I say.

"You don't have to do that" she says.

"I want to" I smile.

"Okay then. Can you hand over your baby" she asks.

"I don't know. I kind of like her" I admit and she rolls her eyes. I reluctantly hand Daisy over to her mom. I kiss them both on the head before grabbing my wallet and heading out.

I find a little convince store right next to the hotel we were at and look around. I got her midol for her cramps and a lot of water because she drinks like a camel. I got her sprite for her upset stomach and and some tums too. I get to the ice cream isle and pick out two of her favorite cartons. I find chocolate syrup and marshmallow and sprinkles before checking out.

I put my things of the conveyor belt and pull out my wallet.

"It's that time of the month huh" the young man asks me and I laugh.

"Yeah" I nod.

"You're a good partner for doing this" she admits.

"She carries a baby for almost nine months and goes through Hell monthly for me. This is the least I can do for her" I admit.

"Then I'm guessing you've done this before" he guesses.

"A few times" I admit.

"I strive to have a relationship like that. She must be real special" he claims.

"There's no one else in this whole world like her. One in a million" I smile.

"Well I wish you guys the best of luck. I hope she's feeling better" he says.

"Thanks man" I nod as I gather up my things.

I take the short walk back to the hotel and go up to our room. I see it was completely silent which only means my girls were sleeping. I grab a spoon and head back into the bedroom.

I find Clara asleep on he bed and Daisy asleep in her travel bed next to her. Clara had her hand resting in the crib because she was a great mother and never let anything happen to her baby. I smile big as I walk over to her and squat down beside her. I kiss her on her forehead and her lips pull into a smile. Kiss Daisy too and the same thing happens to her.

I decide to let them sleep for a little and start to get ready for the game. I take a shower and change and stretch out a little. Eventually I just chill out on the couch with all of Clara's things set out for her.

"Is that my ice cream" a soft voice asks and I see Clara approach. She had Daisy in her arms as the baby sat there.

"They're both yours" I assure her and she smiles.

"God you're the best" she sighs.

She hands me the baby and sits next to me. She takes some pills with her sprite and chews on some tums before taking a carton of ice cream and the spoon. She shovels ice cream in her mouth and I watch in amazement.

"Don't you get a brain freeze" I ask.

"Never" she claims. "I could eat nothing but ice cream the rest of my life" she insists.

"How are you so tiny" I ask.

"All I eat is ice cream" she shrugs and I laugh.

I reach over and wipe some forgotten ice cream from the corner of her mouth and she frowns.

"Heyyyy that's mine" she pouts and I roll my eyes.

"Fine. Take it back" I say wiping it in her cheek. She lets out a loud gasp before narrowing her eyes.

"You really want to mess with a girl on her period" she asks.

"Nope" I admit. I didn't think that one through.

"That's what I thought."
