This would be going down as a battle in the history books. Two monsters of humankind fighting for their owm beliefs and hopes.
Their own futures.
Boiling it all down, they were both humans. They had ambitions. They had dreams. They had reasons for why they fight. For loved ones. For those they want to protect.
This is what they battled for.
Azura Otonashi. The boy who was beaten down in ways a normal human wouldn't be able to live with. Tortured. Forced to watch as friends fell. Had his sanity played with. Who even knows if he had any sanity left in him. Whether he was running on pure instincts or if he was somehow still him was unclear.
Shiro Burraku. The girl who would do anything for her beloved. The one who would end the world for him. The one who would die for him. She was a member of Despair... but who knows if what she truly fought for was Despair. What she fought for... was Love.
Hope... Despair... Future.
This fight had nothing to do with either side.
Azura and Shiro.
This was for them. They fought for the ones who await them back home.
They fought because they were the only ones who could stand up to each other.
Azura and Shiro clashed with amazing force that they sent each other flying backwards but they got back up as fast as they were knocked down. Azura ducked as she sent a flying kick. He grabs her leg and throws her into the wall leaving a giant crack. Azura didn't hestate or let her catch any air. He got back on her and threw punches faster than a human blinking their eyes. Shiro would finally deflect a punch and change the tide of the battle. It was her turn to take charge and lay the beatdown on Azura. She twisted his arm and kicked him away. She charged back at him and connected her knee into his skull.
Meanwhile the others were escaping the tower. They were full aware that this place could very much crumble. It took a bit of convincing but they got Suki to leave Azura to fight Shiro. They had to get out before the possibility of the building collapsing happened. They got outside and it was raining. No thunder or lightning. Just rain. As if the skies were crying seeing two of the strongest humans at each others throats.
What a world it would be if it wasn't at war. If the fate of the end of it all was in the balance.
Back inside, Shiro connected her knee into Azura's gut multiple times before giving him a swift roundhouse kick. He went flying and bounced off the floor when he came into contact. She took her sweet time walking to him before lifting him by his hair "You're pathetic. Is that all you go-" She was silenced quick with a fist to her jaw. She let go of Azura and held her jaw. It wasnt broken but Azura could of damn well broke it.
"No. It's not." He smirks and they clashed once more, locking eyes and legs and arms would hit against each other as they dodged and deflected each others attacks.
"Azura..." Suki whispers to herself.
"He'll be fine... He won't go dying on us." Yashiro stares as he tries thinking of anything they could do.
The building rumbled before suddenly a giant hole erupted from the middle of the tower and two bodies flew out from it.
Azura and Shiro had crashed through the building and collided into another building, landing onto the streets.
They picked their bodies up. Their clothes torn and their bodies were bloodied and bruised. They stared each other down before they both grinned like madmen.
