After introducing Olivia and Ruby to the guest, Ximena and Oscar waited on the side with Monse and Cesar.

"I'm surprised you're actually going through with this," Ximena said to Oscar, watching her sister dance.

"Yeah, me too," Oscar's eyes looking over her, "you're lucky I love you."

Before Ximena could reply, Cesar interrupted, "We're up."

The couples walked out onto the dance floor, Ruby eyeing them carefully hoping for no mistakes. Ximena took Oscar's hand as his arm wrapped around her waist. They swayed back and forth, her hand on his shoulder.

"Let me lead," Oscar reminded as Ximena backed down, letting him take the lead.

"Stop looking down then," she pushed his chin up so his eyes met hers.

He continued staring at her, making her anxiety creep up her spine, "What?"

"Nothing, you just look so gorgeous."

"No one's ever called me that before," she blushed

"Glad to be the first."

"I got accepted to one of my first choice colleges," she blurted out, wanting to share the news with somebody.

"Didn't know you applied to any."

"I didn't tell anyone cause I didn't want to brag too much then get disappointed if I didn't get in."

"What's your major?" He questioned, picking up his pace as the song sped up in the chorus.

"Forensic science. John Jay's class of 2022."

"Isn't that in New York?" He furrowed his brows and she nodded.

"When are you leaving?"

"This fall," she replied, quietly. She could see his eyes become disappointed as they continued swaying.

"Oh," was all he said, "I'm happy for you."

She laid her head on his chest as they continued swaying back and forth, for a while she could hear the steadiness of his heartbeat.

"I was gonna be a culinary major, you know."

"No way," she chuckled, "why didn't you?"

"Cause I could never leave Cesar with our mom," he replied, his tone saddening.

The song soon ended and the guest began to clap and cheer.

"You plan on going to college single?" Oscar questioned but before Ximena could give him her answer, Ruby tapped on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but I need her," he pulled Ximena away from Oscar, taking her back into the house.

"What is it?" She asked, following Ruby as he held her hand.

"Your surprise."

He brought her into Olivia's room where she was standing there. She was hysterically crying, holding a phone in her hand. Ximena stepped forward, seeing her parents on the screen.
