Third person P.O.V
"It's me Seany!" the girl's sickly sweet voice sent chills down Kaycee's spine making her shiver. Alex must have noticed that as a wide smirk stretched across her face.
"And baby Kaycee is here too!"
"Why Alex?"asked Sean edging himself between the two girls in an attempt to hide Kaycee.
"Aww, Sean don't you know? What about leaving me for her?" She jerked the gun in Kaycee's direction.
"Alex! You know for yourself that I left you exactly because of this! You're crazy!" Another shot was fired grazing both Kaycee and Sean's arms before hitting the wall behind them. Both gasped at the heat of the metal on their skin.
"Shut up! I know you left me to be with her and she will pay for steating you from me!" Alex aimed the gun at Kaycee who was too affraid to even move.
"No!" Sean jumped in front of her but the bullet hit far above their heads followed by a loud thud of somebody falling.
Sean slowly turned to face an out of breath Will who was holding onto a crying Tahani, Alex lay motionless at their feet. The two boys slowly met each other's eyes giving one another small nods.
Suddenly, Sean felt Kaycee begin to shake behind him, loud sobs comming from her mouth faster every second.
"Kaycee!" Sean shook her by the shoulders but she seemed to be trapped in a nightmare.
"Come on Kayc!" after a couple of minutes she stopped shaking.
"Sean?" once again she began to cry uncontrolably, this time Sean wrapped her in his arms tightly, rocking her back and forth while telling her that everything would be okay.
Soon enugh the police arrived and took the still unconscious Alex. Upon walking through the door, Sean saw Tati crying curled up on Gabe's lap with Will next to him comforting Tahani. Sean himself was carrying Kaycee, who's tears had soaked through his jumper.
"Boys would you put the girls in the car, we'll take them home" both Tati and Kaycee shook their heads violently, clinging onto the boys with all their might.
"Uh, do you mind if we take them home ourselves?" Gabe asked uneasily, worry evident in both his voice and his eyes.
The officer must have noticed this as he nodded curtly.
Will walked with Tahani to school where his car was parked. He offered to take the others but Sean declined claiming that it wasn't that far of a walk.
After saying short goodbyes, Will drove off with Tati asleep on the back seat with Gabe.
"Kayc?"
Fear filled eyes looked up at Sean, confirming to him that she had come out of her nightmare.
"Can you walk on your own?" He continued quietly. She nodded in responce.
After placing Kaycee on the floor, Sean kept an arm around her.
The walk home was silent with Sean walking Kaycee all the way to her house.
"My mom wants me to go back to being homeschooled" Kaycee said airily.
To say that Sean was taken aback would be an understatement. She's going to leave the school, leave the team, leave...him. Although he had never admitted it to anyone, he may have developed a small crush on Kaycee. Between being her dance partner and the teasing from the boys, it went from a joke to something more.
"Sean?" He had not realised how long he had been silent for.
"Are you going to do it?"
"Honestly, I really do want to stay in school but she insists." Kaycee sighed.
"Why don't you wanna do it?" He asked genuinely curious.
She turned to him with a smile "You guys, you grew on me and I don't want to leave you".
Sean was trully touched by her words and stopped just to hug her with both arms, not realising that they were in full view of the occupants of Kaycee's house.
Letting go, they were both slightly red.
"Are you going to school tomorrow?" Sean asked awkwardly.
"Not sure, you?"
"Probably" they stood there for a few moments before Kaycee looked towards her house as a sign of leaving.
"So is this a goodbye?" Sadness evident in his voice.
At hearing Kaycee chuckle he looked up, "You can't get rid of me that easily Lew" she told him before walking up to her door.
Just as Kaycee locked the door she was crushed in a hug by her mom and brother.
"Kaycee! Are you okay?" Kaycee nodded without a word and went past them into the kitchen.
Devon looked confused at his mother, waiting for an explanation. She only shook her head and followed Kaycee.
Devon shrugged it off and went to sit across from his sister at the dining table.
"So who's that boy you were hugging Kayc?" Kaycee's cheeks turned red.
"It's a friend"
"Suure" Devon smirked at his baby sister who huffed and marched up to her bedroom.
Meanwhile Sean was walking deep in thought. A single tear slid down his cheek, what if she'll be homeschooled? They would only meet at dance.
At once Sean turned on the spot and sprinted back to her house. Out of breath, he knocked on the door with Mrs Rice opening it for him.
"Can I help you young man?"
"Mrs Rice, please don't homeschool Kaycee!"_____________________________________
Will Mrs Rice agree to Sean or will she do what she thinks is best for Kaycee?
Sorry for a slightly shorter chapter, next one will for sure be a normal length one!
