Not what I expected ...

Munchy Squad

"So, my munchies, we have the movie premiere thing tomorrow so we need outfits for you" we all exchanged excited smiles, remembering the outfits we had for the competition "but this time it's formal" yep, the smiles fell from the boys' faces. "You will also be going in pairs but you will find those out tomorrow " now this is interesting "Your clothes are in the store cupboard but you're not trying them on cause it will give away the partners if you see them"
So the girls and I went in first and saw five dresses with our names and identical accesssorie sets on the floor.
Tati's dress was red, Tahani's yellow, Char's green, mine blue and Bai got the purple one.

"Girls, try on the shoes!" Oooh, I ove shoes.
"Wait why do they have to have heels?" I moaned making the others laugh.
"It's formal Kayc, they have to match that style somehow, nevermind the fact that they are sneakers already" Char told me and I completely understood but I hate heels! I can wear them but... I'd rather not.
We walked out in the shoes, Gabe immediately commenting "I give it five minutes and KC would have already fallen over!" To which I just stuck my tongue at him.
"At least you're a bit taller!" Josh told me while walking by to the storage room, ruffling my hair as he did so.
"Boys and girls, the organisers of the event asked me to choreograph two performances, so for the first half of the day I will have the girls work with me and the boys will go to lessons, then we will swap for the other half of the day" the boys grabbed their bags and waved us goodbye, Gabe having way too much fun discussing the fact that I will have to dance in heels.
About two eight counts into the routine the school's speaker went off "To all students and staff, a pipe has burst under the school. We urge you to leave the school building promptly"
"Well get your bags and keep the shoes on, I'll think of something with the performances" tons of students filled the halls, all excited to end their school day early. The five of us stayed behind in the court deciding what to do next.
"Well seeing as only Tahani's parents are home we can go to the park or something to waste the time" Tati suggested.
"Great idea" Tati shrieked as someone placed a hand on her shoulder. She wasn't very impressed to see a laughing Gabe behind her along with the boys who were all in the same state as Gabe.
"When did you lot get here?"
"Oh Bailey, don't act as if you're not excited to see us!" Kenneth spoke with the same gentlemanly voice he had greeted me with , the first time we met.
"Riiight" Bailey responded, rolling her eyes.
"Guys I've got a text from Tricia!"
"What is it Sean?"
"There will be no time for choreo tomorrow so you will have to create something all together, good luck munchies!"
"Well she does sound like she has faith in us"
"Bit too much faith!" Will added to Tahani's comment.
"So what do you say we go and choreograph something in the park?" I suggested. Everyone agreed and began to leave.
"You might wanna take those off Kayc, you still need your legs!"
"Very funny Gabe!" Like that, laughing, we made our way to the park a couple of blocks away.
After several hours of putting together routines, we were finally done and sat near the river chatting and laughing.
"Hey lets take a picture for my insta!" Tahani suggested, setting her phone near a tree. "Lets do it near the river!" We all headed over to the edge of the river, girls squatting in the front and boys pulling faces in the back.
Just as everyone stood up Tahani yelled "Another one! This one's blury"
Tati looked at me and gestured to Sean and Gabe who were in back middle. Without any words I got what she meant and crept behind the boys along with her. I started a count on my fingers and on the count of three we jumped on their backs just as Tahani ran up from resetting her phone.
It was a cute shot but I knew that Tati and I wouldn't get away with this so easily. Before the camera clicked, the two boys holding us up exchanged smirks and as soon as the shot was taken I felt myself flying backwards and hitting the surface of the cold water.
I came up gasping for air noticing Tati looking back at me, also soaked in the water. At the bank the boys laughed high fiving while the others stared shocked.
"I say the two need a hug to cool down a bit"
"I totally agree Kayc" we shot out of the water, splashing and once again jumping on Sean and Gabe's backs, making the two yelp at the coldness of the water. Needless to say that everyone else was quite amused by this interaction.
Next day....

Our choreography was approved by Tricia immediately after we had showed it to her. The girls and I did a routine to 'Versace on the floor' with the boys doing theirs to 'Pills and Automobiles'.
"Time to get dressed kids!"
Just like before the boys changed first and as soon as they came out we knew who our so called 'dates' would be. All of their blazer colours matched the colours of our dresses as well as the couples being the same as our dance pairs.

My 'date' was Sean and I've got to admitt, he looked kind of cute, I mean so did the others, but there was something about him that just stood out to me. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice the girls get up, I rushed after them quickly making the boys laugh.
"Wait, so we know who we're going with and the boys don't right?" Asked Char.
"Yeah?" Her tone of voice told me that she had something planned.
"When we walk out they will be really surprised so just walk sraight to them so we get to see their confused faces!" She suggested and we all agreed that it would be pretty funny.
Just as planned, the boys didn't know what was happening and were all gaping like fish.
"Uh..."
"Wha-what?"
"Huh?"
"Our clothing colours match" Char told them calmly.
"Oh" they all said simultaneously, understanding the concept.
"Ooooh, you all look beautiful!" Tricia gushed "Come on Munchy Squad, we've got a red carpet to rock!"
"Munchy Squad?" Sean raised his eyebrows while laughing.
"Has a ring to it!"
With everyone's approval we now walked out of the studio, officially named 'Munchy Squad'.
