Not what I expected ...

What abou- you know what, nevermind!

"Girl what's the move? Ooooh"

"Come on Hani, get over that!" Josh told Tahani who was skipping ahead of the group, laughing along with everyone nevertheless.

"Not yet Joshy! Come on girls help me out" the girls followed Tahani's orders, loudly mocking the boys' earlier performance.

"Oh no you're not" Gabe grabbed Tati by the waist, clapping one hand over her mouth "I do like your singing though" he whispered only audible for her, making her blush rise past his hand.

"Aww it's Gati!" Charlize and Bailey both looked at one another shocked "...creepy..." they both mumbled together once more.

"Come on, all lovebirds and psychics get in the studio" Kaycee said opening the door.

"Well why don't you and Sean go through first?" asked Ken leaning on the door above Kaycee. She turned towards him, giving her best 'unimpressed' look before grabbing Sean's hand and pulling him through the door.

"Hold up, hold up, hold up! Is there something that we don't know about here?" Bailey ran in after the two looking concerned and scared beyond belief.

The pair exchanged a look before replying simply "No" and bursting into laughter at their friends' faces.

A cough from the music station silenced them all.

"Ready kids or do you need some time there?" Tricia asked motioning unsurely between the group.

After they all got their dance wear on, the ten of them were lined up in front of the mirror.

"Ok, now I know that you lot had a little argument because of me leaving you guys for the boys" Tricia started, looking at the girls " but it all had a purpose I promise you. The individuality and independence that you girls showed in the piece you created was awesome! And, unknowingly, you were all creating self promotion" the squad looked at Tricia weirdly, still trying to take in the information.

"I got a lot of calls rescently, all booking you jobs and events. Yes Tati?"

"How did anyone know about our dance?" she asked motioning between herself and the girls.

"I think someone in the canteen filmed it and now it's blowing up on YouTube" Will explained.

"Yeah, and speaking of YouTube, you girls were invited to their dance star party" Tricia added shuffling through some papers before handing each of the girls, who all had slacked jaws, a red envelope.

"What abou- uh nevermind" said Sean quickly turning from conflicted to guilty which Bailey picked up on.

"Oh the irony! They're jealous of us now!" she exclaimed giving the boys a reason to turn red.

"That's not it! We have a request for Josh and Bailey to join the SRank, for Gabe, Kaycee, Sean, Charlize and Josh to be in a DanceOn video, for Charlize to assist Brian Friedman at Radix, for Tahani, Kaycee and Tati to film a concept video with Willdabeast and lots more but I want to focus on the upcomming ones" Tricia read off the list, not noticing the slacked jaws of now everyone in the room.

"Ok so we have Will you have a modeling shoot with Popular Poison in a few weeks, Charlize you're at Radix, Ken and Tati have a tutorial to film with Matt, Bailey and Josh have SRank rehersals in two weeks and then anybody who's Tahani and Kaycee have a Netflix shoot and finally Gabe and Sean are going with me to YUMA" all the dancers nodded their heads slightly.

"That's awesome but I have a shoot with Blake Mcgrath" Sean said to Tricia.

"Oh yeah, me too" Kaycee added quickly as the two of them had been rehersing together for a while.

"Ok when's that?"

" Next week"

" Sure that doesn't clash with anything..." Tricia trailed of before placing the clipboard on her desk a bit too loudly, bringing her class back to earth "now the biggest announcement" a grin spread across her face "Kaycee, Tati and Tahani, Alecia Cara has contacted me and asked for you three to perform on stage with her at the world tour!"

It was silent for a moment before the three best friends turned to one another and screamed. It was the kind of scream that didn't necesserily alarm you, simply the one that burst your ear drums.

Sean and Gabe who were closest to the three had covered their ears with their sleaves, smiling still, along with everyone.

"Oh my god! We- w"

"We're dancing with Alecia Cara!" Tati finished for Kaycee who was struggling to catch her breath.

"I'm proud of you girls but now I want the boys to go to their first vocal lesson and you guys are going home"

The ten looked up confused. Home?

"The party is tonight and I don't have costumes ready so you'll have to make do for yourselves" realisation dawned on them before Tricia asked them to be ready by six, leaving the room.

"Have fun girls" Gabe told the five throwing his bag over his shoulder.

"Oh you bet we will" Tati said pinching his cheeks and leaving the room followed by the rest of the girls.

..some time later...

"Mom I have a YouTube party at six!" Kaycee shouted as soon as she had stepped through the door.

"Ok honey, be home by eleven"  over time her mom got used to the spontaneous last minute events and simply went with what happened each day.

Upon getting her confirmation Kaycee went up to her room, and after a shower she just plopped on her bed, going on her laptop as she wasn't too fussed with make up or clothing.

In the middle of watching a Starkeisha clip her phone began buzzing, showing that Tati was facetiming her.

As soon as she clicked the reply key, on her screen appeared the girls plus Mia.

"Hey guys, whatcha doing?" she asked cheerfully.

"Better to ask what you aren't doing! Why aren't you getting ready?" Tahani half yelled finishing of her eyeliner.

"It won't take me that long"

"Ok then, what are you wearing?" Tati asked while enlarging the pile of clothes on her bed.

"Clothes?" Kaycee asked, her laugh like an infection spreading to Bailey, Char and Mia.

"Come on KC show us the clothes, they need to be girl squad approved" Tahani commanded looking at the screen directly.

"Ugh, you're making me get up" Kaycee groaned.

...20 minutes and countless outfits later...

"Nope"

"Too formal"

"Dance clothes"

"Not for a party"

"Maybe"

"Ok I'll call you later since the only progress we made it the past 20 minutes was trashing my floor with countless tops and shoes. Thanks for help though" without waiting for a responce, Kaycee ened the call and returned to her position on her bed with the laptop.
