"Can we just not talk?" I exclaimed after listening to him go on for about five minutes.

"Someone's extra moody today." Ross chuckled.

"Maybe it's because I've thrown up twice, I can't even eat cupcakes anymore because for some reason they make me sick and I don't even want to be here." I snapped. "I'm only here to avoid my family."

"Get out then." Ross ordered, pulling over at the side of the road.

"Gladly!" I yelled, tugging on the door handle which refused to open.

"Child lock because you're being childish." Ross smirked, pulling the keys out of the ignition and settling back in his seat.

"Childish?" I questioned with my best death glare.

"Maddy, if you don't want this baby then why don't you just get rid of it?"

"Oh my god Ross, do you know anything?" I snapped.

"Clearly not." He replied.

"I could never abort my baby." I said.

"Your baby?"

"Yes, it's mine! And I could never get rid of it. My parents dumped me around, I may as well of been aborted, I will not do that to my baby." I explained in a frustrated tone, huffing back in my seat.

I couldn't help notice the large grin on his face. "What? What the hell is so entertaining?" I snapped.

"My plan worked perfectly." He smirked. "You just told me quite the bit about you."

My eyes widened, realising what I had just said. "Let me out of the car before I break your window." I ordered.

"You wouldn't break my window." He scoffed.

"Stop thinking you know me." I hissed. "You know nothing about me."

I pressed the release button, pulling the head of the chair off the fabric car seat before jabbing the two metal bars into the window. The first time it bounced back, it always does.

"Whoa!" Ross exclaimed, grabbing my elbow to prevent me from launching it again. "Okay."

He unlocked the car and I stepped outside, calling my dad to come pick me up.

"Thank you." I said, hanging up.

"Calling Will to save you from the big bad wolf that actually made you talk about your feelings for once?" Ross spat, a few inches from the back of his car.

"No actually I called my dad, that way you'll be too scared to stick around and bother me anymore." I retorted smugly, walking closer to him.

"I'm only trying to help." He snapped. "God forbid I try and do something nice for anyone."

"I don't need you or anyone else, I've done fine on my own so far haven't I?"

"You're 17 and pregnant." He stated with a smug smirk.

I shoved him back in anger and he slammed into his car. "Ah!" I let out a cry of pain, hunching over slightly and clutching my stomach.

I balled my fist in Ross's shirt as I looked down at the ground, breathing heavily. "Maddy? Maddy, are you okay?"

"I'm fine." I snapped, pushing off him and standing up.

"You don't look it." He said, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Like you said," I stated, standing up straight again. "I'm 17 and pregnant, I won't look fine for a while now."

"Mads I didn't mean it like that." He sighed. "I just-"

A car came speeding up the road and suddenly pulled up by Ross's car. "Aren't you supposed to be working?" My Dad snapped at Ross, throwing the door shut behind him as he stepped out of the car.

"Call out." Ross replied.

"Then get there." He growled.

I parted from Ross, getting in the car with my dad. "You sure you know what you're doing there?" He asked before pulling off.

"Always." I replied although I was way out of my depth this time.

"Ross isn't the best guy for you to be hanging around with." He said.

"You're hardly one to talk." I scoffed.

"Oi." He snapped. "I may not be perfect but I sure as hell still am your father, everything I've done has been for us."

"I know." I nodded. My dad was a pain in the ass and at one stage and abuser but everything he did, he did for us, to keep us afloat. Money was tight after mum left when I was growing up. "Then why hire him?"

"Reminds me of myself." He said. "But uglier and less charming of course but back in my day someone taking pity on me and giving me a job could've changed everything."

I nodded, understanding. No one gave my dad a job because of his reputation, lack of education, his last name and the fact he was already a Dad. He was too proud to do anything below his worth which turned him to doing jobs of his own, illegal jobs which is what started it all.
