A week and a half later:
Tom's POV:
I stare down at Nick on the floor, unconscious. I could just kill him now but there'd be no fun in that.
I pulled up the black gloves around my hands so I could feel the fabric rubbing against my fingertips.
I picked up the bucket beside my feet, throwing the liquid over Nick's body, he sat up immediately, gasping for air. His eyes widening as he noticed the tape binding his wrists and ankles together and fear spread through them as he looked up, seeing me.
"I killed you." He stated in confusion.
"Correction, you failed at killing me." I smirked, crouching in front of him. "And my daughter."
"Maddy was in the car?" He asked.
"Which means you know what's about to happen to you." I stated, standing up again.
"Oh I was dead from the moment I pushed you over that cliff." He sighed.
"Accept now, I'm going to make it hurt a hell of a lot more." I said with a sinister grin.
"How about you let me go and I clear your debt with me?"
"My debt to you won't be a problem if you're dead."
"What's that smell?" He asked with panic in his tone.
"That's you sunshine." I smirked, my tone deadly. "See, that wasn't water, it was petrol."
"Tom no! I'll do anything! Please!"
"Should of thought of that before you tried to kill my daughter." I said, pulling out a lighter from my pocket.
"Tom!" He begged. "Please! Forget the debt! Don't do this! I'll do anything! I can get you money-"
"Got plenty." I replied, flaring the flame.
"Name it and it's yours!"
"Your head, on a stick." I stated. "I'm tired of this talking."
"Wait please," He said. "Take my card, the code is 1435. Use it to set up a good future for Maddy and that baby of hers with clean cash."
I rolled my eyes, taking the wallet from his pocket, not only containing his card but a couple hundred pounds in cash.
"Just please, don't burn me."
"How do I know you're not lying?"
"I'm a man of my word, you know that."
"And so am I." I stated. "So I won't burn you."
I placed the lighter back in my pockets before pulling a black pistol out and looking at him.
"We had a deal!" He yelled.
"I said I wouldn't burn you alive." I replied. "You tried to kill me once, I won't make the same mistake again."
I pulled the pistol up, a finger over the trigger as Nick looked away, squeezing his eyes shut and waiting for the impact.
I focused my eyes, squeezing the trigger and letting a deafening sound echo around the abandoned stables.
The worst part was moving the body, especially a big guy like Nick, this job kept me in shape.
I dusted the gloves with a cloth from the bag, even though I was wearing gloves before dropping everything inside the rucksacks and picking it up before turning to Nick. I'd already dug his grave.
