Maddy's POV:
My eyes blinked open and I looked down to see Will holding my hand. "How do you feel?" He asked as I sat up.
"Where is she?"
"In the nursery, do you want to see her?" My mum asked.
I nodded, sitting up.
"I'll go see if I can get her." Mum said, walking out of the room.
My eyes darted around the room to see only Will and my dad left. "Where's Liam,?" I asked.
"Ross socked him in the face before we left so he's getting checked out himself." Will replied causing a smug grin to appear on my dads face.
"I thought you were keeping an eye on him?" I questioned.
"I was a little worried about my girlfriend who had just gone into labour." Will scoffed.
"So you feel okay?" Dad spoke up.
"Good enough." I replied.
"Then I'll go get a coffee and tell the rest of the family you're awake." He said, getting up and walking out.
"How was it?" Will asked, running a finger over my knuckles.
"I'm just glad it's over." I sighed.
"Few years until it's our turn." Will laughed.
"Will," I said. "I don't ever want to do that again."
"What?"
"I don't want anymore kids, I don't want to do it again." I said.
"But we've talked about kids." He said.
"A lot has changed for me in the past couple hours." I said. "I know they're important for you-"
"It's okay." He said, cutting me off. "You should rest."
I nodded, turning over from my back and on to my side, facing him. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be, it's fine. I'm just going to get a drink." He said, getting up.
Ross's POV:
I'd been waiting in the waiting room for hours when finally Tom and Claire came with News she was okay.
I got up and walked in the direction of the room but Tom struck an arm out, entangling his fist with my shirt. "Give them some time alone." He said.
"I just want to see her." I said.
"She's fine, Ross." He stated in a demanding tone. "Now sit down."
"I don't take orders from you." I snapped.
"Then I'm not asking as Maddy's Dad, I'm asking as your boss."
I glared at him, sitting back down away from the whole family that had come to visit.
Josh and his girlfriend, I forget her name, I think it's Nina, played with the kids that belonged to Liam's parents. The push couple sat in the corner of the room, giving me death stares for laying a hand on their precious baby.
I overheard Claire and Rachel talking. "She didn't want to see the baby, at all." Claire said.
"She's probably just tired." Rachel excused.
"But it made me think how distant she's been, she hasn't even told me any names she likes and now this." Claire fretted.
"Jules." I said to them before getting up and storming down the hallway.
"Ross!" Tom yelled.
"Let the lad go." Ian ordered.
As I marched further down the hallway their voices faded and I came to the room she was staying in.
I thought Will was with her but she was alone in the room.
I walked in, her eyes shut and her breathing slightly heavy. Although she was asleep her cheeks were streamlined with tears and I couldn't help but stare at her beautiful face, wishing that I could wake up to it every morning, but I couldn't.
"I love you." I said in a low voice.
For a moment there was silence before, "I love you too Ross," came from her lips.
I quite literally felt my jaw drop however her eyes did not open and she remain as sleep like as she did before. I couldn't understand.
About five minutes later I came to the conclusion she wasn't waking up anytime soon so I got up.
Walking out, I couldn't take my eyes off her. I'd waited so long to hear those words and of course she'd be asleep when it happened.
Suddenly, her eyes pinged open and they almost immediately made contact with mine. "Ross?" Her voice was slightly broken, it sounded sad.
"How do you feel?" I asked, sitting back down in the armchair beside her bed.
"Like crap to be honest." She replied.
"It's over now." I said and she nodded.
"I was dreaming about you." She admitted, sitting up.
"I bet I was naked." I smirked.
"Nope just being as annoying as ever." She replied with a grin but her mood soon changed and she slummed down in the bed a little more. "I messed things up with Will."
"I did wonder why he wasn't in here." I said.
"I don't want anymore babies Ross." She stated.
"And he does." I finished. "Farmer Will the family man."
She nodded. "What am I going to do?"
"Relax." I said. "Babies weren't on my cards anyway."
"I'm talking about Will." She said.
"When I first met you, I told you I always get what I want." I stated.
"Actually you asked for a hand job." She smirked with a scoff.
"Then the day after." I said. "That hasn't changed, it's just been delayed and trust me it's been tortured but it'll be worth it in the end."
Tom pushed the door open and slithered inside. Instantly, I dropped her hand before he had the chance to cut it off.
"I bought you a drink," He said, giving Maddy some water. "Ross, a word, outside?"
