I turned around to see who the hand belonged to. It was Mike looking dashing as always.

"Hey! You made it," he said with a crooked smile.
"Yep. Here I am," I said popping my mouth.
"You want something to drink?" he offered.
"No, I'm driving," I said with a small smile on my face.
"Smart move. You know what they say about drinking and driving." He looked like as if he was thinking
"Mmmhmn..." I answered unsure what to really say.

After talking (casually because I so did not freak out or anything because remember, I don't have any time for boys) with Mike for a while about school and stuff, I went to look for Nia.

I was trying to get past a group of people. They were already drunk and the party had just started. I don't feel so comfortsble in situations like that. I'm always scared something really serious will happen or that I didn't help someone enough. That's the one reason I don't go to parties.

Finally, I got past them. I was standing in the middle of the living room trying to find Nia with my eyes. No luck.

After searching her for about 20 minutes, I realized I was not going to find her. Then I remembered I told Nia to keep her phone on. But I was pretty sure she couldn't hear it.

And I was right. I took my phone out of my pocket, entered my passcode and called Nia. The phone was ringing. I could barely hear it with the loud music playing through the house. No luck there, either.

Stupid Nia, why didn't she put her phone on! Great. I was all alone in a party where I didn't know anybody. I only came to the party in the first place because Nia wanted me to come as a support os something else crap. Well yeah, here I am givong her unnecessary drinking full support by not finding her.

Right then, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Mike, again. What's with him scaring me half to death tonight?

"Can't find Nia?" he said.
"What?!" I asked. The music was so loud that I couldn't hear him.
"I said, can't find Nia?" Mike said little more loudly.
"Yeah, I can't find her," I said hoping that he could hear me. We were standing right next to the speakers.
"Let's go to the kitchen," Mike said and took my hand to lead me through the crowd. I shivered a bit and hoping he didn't noticed. I don't know why but it felt right and good. Him holding my hand like that. It spread a warm and secure feeling throughout my whole body. Urghh Maddie, snap out of it!

Mike led me to the kitchen where the music wasn't as loud as it was in the messy living room.

"So, you can't find Nia. What are you gonna do?" Mike asked me.
"Don't really know. I tried to call her but she didn't answer," I said a little frustrated.
"She probably couldn't hear her phone through the music," Mike said matter-of-factly.

Stupid me for immediately thinking that she hadn't put her phone on! Well, we will just never tell Nia that.

"Yeah of course," I said trying to sound convincing.
"So you can't find your best friend and I can't find mine. What should we do?" Mike asked me with a little smile that soon turned into a silky grin.
"You can't find Blake?" I asked a little surprised.
"Yeah, I somehow always lose him," he said while scratching his head.

"We could look for them together?" I asked.
"Sure but let's go get us some drinks first," Mike said as he started to walk to the drink table.

"Oh, I can't dri..."
"Yeah yeah, you can't drink because you are driving. You can still get water or soda or something. I'm taking some Coca-Cola cuz I'm not into drinking that much," Mike said as he took one bottle of Coke.
I love that he's not into drinking either and being responsible.
"Okay I'll take a water," I said. Soda is bad for you and it has many calories.

I took a cup of water from the table and was about to take a sip.
"Oh no no no! That's vodka," Mike took the cup from me before I could take a sip. After that, he handed me another cup.

"This is water."
"Thanks," I said and took a sip. Yep, it was water. How did Mike know that the other cup had vodka in it?

"How did you know it was vodka?" I asked.
"I smelled it. Smelled like alcohol," Mike said as he took a sip of his Coke.

"You don't go to a lot of parties do you?" Mike asked although it was more like a statement.
"Not really," I said with my head down.

With that, Mike brushed a strand of hair that had fallen on my face, behind my ear. I blushed. Why did I blush, I never blush!! Right when I took my eyes off the ground, Mike burst out laughing. Omg, what did I do! It was because I blushed, 100 percemt sire. Mike laughed even harder.

"Look!!!" He said with tears in his eyes from the laughing. I looked at where he was pointing and almost busted out laughing myself.

"I guess we found them!" Mike said still laughing a little.
And yes we did. There they were, Nia and Blake. And full on making out, sharing some sloppy kisses and having their hands all over each other which looked kind of hugging but it also didn't at all.
Blake had one of his arms behind Nia's waist and the other hand was behind her neck. Nia had both of her hands on the sides of Blake's head. They were leaning against a wall in the living room.

"Would you look at that. Who could have guessed!" Mike said still laughing a little.
"Yeah who could have," I said still trying to process what I was seeing.

"I bet they are both so drunk that they won't even remember any of this in the morning," Mike said.
"Probably," I agreed.

"Okay. I should probably go there so that I can take Nia home. I think it's really the time for Miss Kisser to go home!" I said and we started to walk towards the pair that was still glued onto each other.
"Yeah, I would do the same with Blake but it's kinda his house so..." Mike said.

We were now standing right next to the pair.
"Nia! We need to go!" I yelled. The music was still playing so it was hard to hear. No answer.
"Niaa!!" I yelled again.
The pair stopped their make-out session.

"Whaaatt?!" Nia mumbled. Okay, she was definitely drunk.
"Okay then, let's go," I said and took her hand. She almost fell to the ground but I caught her.

We started slowly walking out of the house. When I passed Mike, I quickly said bye to him and wished him good luck with Blake. Then we continued our slow journey out of the house.

Finally, we got out of the house but that wasn't it. We still had to walk to Georgie. Luckily it wasn't that far away. We made it to the car. I helped Nia to the front seat and got in the driver's seat myself. After that, I drove Nia home. Luckily her parents weren't home when we got there. They would've been so mad. I made sure that she was okay and helped her to bed. After that, I drove to home.

As soon as I got into my room I was so exhausted and ready to sleep. But first I just thought about the moment how Mike made me blush so easily. Gosh, I was beginning to become one of those disgustingly girly girls. But it made me feel so goofy inside and I kinda liked the feeling of his hand clasping mine.
