"Ty, can you drive me there?" "Sure, you'll be ready in 2 hours?" "Yep, maybe even sooner."
I started getting ready for the party. Blake had invited lots of people to his house since his mom and little brother were away. To be honest, I wasn't really sure what was going to happen. When you take the holidays plus many teenagers plus alcohol, it always equals a catastrophe. But Mike and I will go to the party so that we can watch over them. Not like we're going to be the babysitters but since we're probably the only ones who will not drink anything, it's kind of our responsibility.
Anyway... I put on a black mini skirt, black tights and a grey sweater with my red ankle boots.

I curled my hair and put it up on a loose ponytail. As for my makeup, I just did my regular thing and went downstairs.
"Sis! You're already ready! Wow, it didn't take you the whole two hours, only one hour and 55 minutes", Ty teased me. "Haahaa Ty, very funny... You know us girls. We like to take our time with all the beauty things", I said and laughed. "Yeah yeah, sure. But Mads... you look beautiful. I am really proud of you."
I felt myself blushing. Ty is such a sweet big brother. I just mumbled something and smiled.
"So... should we get going?" I said quickly and opened the front door. He just smiled and we went to the car.
"By the way, how come Mike's not picking you up? He's coming to the party, right?" Ty said with his 'concerned big brother' voice.
"He has practice. So he's coming to the party straight from there. Don't worry, I will have someone looking after me since I'm the crazy party girl..." "Oh, that's right. The team has their practice always on Thursdays. And you know I didn't mean that. I fully trust you. But I think it's good that you have a non-partier with you." "I know big bro, I know. You're so protective. I love you..." "I love you too Maddiebears."
We both just smiled and sat there quietly while the music was playing. Once I realized what the song was I turned the volume up and started to sing along. And Ty almost had a heart attack.
"Gosh, Maddie! NEVER turn up the volume that suddenly!" "I know but I had to!! Can't you hear the song?!"
It was Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go. It's our song. When we were little we used to make different dance choreographies to it and show them to our parents. Ever since that, we have always danced to it whenever it starts playing.
"Could you..." I asked and raised my eyebrow. "Of course, it's a tradition." Ty pulled up the car and we turned the volume louder and got out of the car. And there we danced in the middle of the street. Like we always do. Gosh, I had missed Ty so much when he was in the military.
