Nia's Pov

I haven't told you how Blake and I got together. I think it's time to do that.

It all started at the party after that one basketball game. I can admit that I drank too much and so did Blake. We danced, sang, had fun and well yeah, by the end of the night things got little heated. Or actually, we just shared kisses. It felt really good at that time. But then the next morning... man I felt awful. I had a terrible hangover. I just wanted to puke and eat loads of fast food. And that's what I did actually.

On Monday, I still had no idea of what had happened at the party. I didn't have any memory from that night. Some bits of pieces here and there. Yeah, I know. I went a little bit too far with all the drinking. I'll never do that again. But we didn't actually even see each other that week because we both had so much school things of our own.

I missed Maddie a lot that week. She was in Moscow but luckily the week went on quickly!
When we finally saw, a bit over a week after the party, Maddie started to remind me about that. I was a little bit late on one morning so I got to hear from that.

"Well well well, look who came later now! And you always say that you have to wait for me. You had a rough party weekend a week ago? Do you even remember anything about it?" she grinned.
"Don't even talk about that", I said and could taste the puke in my mouth again.

Then I saw that Mike and Blake were coming towards us. Mike smiled at Maddie and I totally could see that there was something going on between them. Mike almost couldn't resist himself from hugging Maddie. I think he missed her. I raised my eyebrows at Maddie and gave her a teasing look.
Blake came towards me and we fist bumped.

"Man the party was LIT", Blake said and dabbed.
"Bro, dabbing is kinda last season, but you do you. Do you still have any memory of the party?" Mike said with a cringy smile on his face.
"Umm, no."
"Okay...", Mike burst out laughing.

That's when I stepped into the conversation.

"What happened at the party?"
"Should we?" Mike asked Maddie.

Maddie nodded her head and tried to hold a laugh inside her.

"YOU TWO KISSED ON THAT FRIDAY!!!" Mike and Maddie both cry-laughed and I and Blake were shocked.

We silently stepped away from each other. We never talked about that again. Well, actually we did but let's not get into that right now.

The weeks went on and Blake and I just stayed as friends. We had fun at Mike's beach house and we definitely bonded there even more. And his six-pack... oh my my my. That's just some art.

Nothing special happened after that. Well, we texted a lot and went to movies and cafeterias and... okay, we did a lot stuff together but neither one of us thought that we would be more than friends. Maybe just a little bit deep down inside my soul I thought that maybe someday we would be something more than friends.

But then, he asked me on a date. It was a double date with Mike and Maddie. We had so much fun together. We went to a fancy restaurant, ate some delicious food and by the end of the night, Mike took us to his favorite place on Earth, The Field. The moonlight was so pretty and because of that, Mike and Maddie kissed. And yes, something happened between me and Blake too. We cuddled and shared tiny kisses. Nothing else happened.

Finally, Mike took Maddie and me back to Maddie's place and we had a girly talk night. We hadn't had those in ages.

"So, what's the deal between you and Blake Lewis, the hottest boy in our school? After Mike obviously", Maddie asked with a suspicious look on her face.
"There's nothing going on. We just shared tiny kisses. We're just fooling around. Nothing major. He probably has about dozen girls at the same time", I answered and as I said those things, I knew that I was lying to myself and to Maddie.
