Darkness consumed me.
I shot up from the bed. Luckily, it was just a nightmare.

Other than the nightmare, the morning was peaceful. I was enjoying my free day. I listened to my favorite artist, Adele. I know every one of her songs. I decided to put a full face of makeup on which in my case consists of mascara, brow gel, highlighter and small cat liners. I ate breakfast very slowly and took time to really chew all the food. That's something I never have time to do.

Finally, I got into my car, my little baby who I like to call Georgie. I had saved so much money to buy it and finally I was able to buy with a little help from my parents.
Even though I drove slowly and I was really enjoying the fresh morning air, I got to school right on time. When I got to my locker, Nia was waiting for me.

"Oh my goodness Maddie, I had to wait for you about 30 minutes! Where were you??" she said and stared at me with her 'I'm so pissed of by you but really I'm just faking this because I like drama' face.
"Sorry, but I was having a slow morning. Just enjoying my free day, you know," I grinned.
"Yeah yeah of course. I noticed that you've decided to put your charm makeup on. You have someone on your mind??"

Oh, not this again... When will she stop teasing about that subject, I thought.

"Yeah obviously, that's the only reason to put makeup on Nia. The only reason," I rolled my eyes and laughed.
"Just saying, just saying. You know that I always have to tease you a little bit. But guess what? Change of plans: we're not going to shopping and eating the delicious mall ice cream as much we both love Stefano's gelato... We're going to the first basketball game this season. I know you love to go there."

I was relieved because I wouldn't like to go to the mall, it's not my thing. I hate all the massive crowds in every store. I prefer online shopping, it's nicer to try on the clothes home.

"It's more than fine for me! We'll meet at our lockers at 5 p.m. so that we have some time to find the perfect seats because I want to..."
"... see the three-point line, I know I know," Nia said and smiled at me.

After school I went home, ate some Chinese food I picked out from the best Chinese restaurant in NYC called Chung Chang Ziu, watched some Grey's Anatomy which I love so much and when the time was about 4.30 p.m., I grabbed my car keys and went to school. Again, Nia waited for me at the lockers.
"Wow, I've started to be more precise than you nowadays," she said and laughed.
"Yeah right, like that's going to happen," I said and we laughed together.

We went to the gym which was already full of people, but we got the perfect seats where we could perfectly see the three-point line. Then the game started and the whole basketball team ran into the middle of the basketball court. The first thing I saw was Michael Blevins. Well, actually, everyone saw him because he is Michael Blevins, the most popular guy and basketball player or actually the basketball captain in our school.

All the girls were drooling over him and I heard "OMG, he's so hot" nearly everywhere. I just couldn't help but roll my eyes. Those bimbos don't have anything else than boys in their minds.
Everybody wants him except me because I don't have any time for boys. Because my time goes to ballet. Of course it would be nice to have someone. Someone who could hug me... Someone who I could trust and lean on.

But I don't have time for that.

"Maddie, look!! Michael Blevins is there!! And Blake Lewis too!! I don't understand how those two best friends can be so good in everything they do!!" Nia shouted maybe too loudly and when everyone turned towards us, she blushed like a tomato.
"Yes, Nia. I think everyone can see them. Maybe you should try to calm yourself," I said and laughed at her. "The game is starting Nia, now shut up."
