After the kids were all Sorted, they could finally eat. Hiccup dug right in. He and Astrid had lived on fish, cabbage, bread, and yak their whole lives. Hiccup began wolfing down food. So did Astrid. Before dessert was served, Hiccup said to Astrid, "I think I just gained ten pounds, and I'm still hungry!" Astrid just laughed because she felt the same way.
Hiccup said, "Try this," handing Astrid a cup of pumpkin juice. Then dessert came and they both tried one of everything.
"Now I'm so full that I just want to take a nap." Hiccup groaned. They then were led by the Prefects up to the Gryffindor tower. The girls dorms were on the right, and the boys dorms were on the left.
