(Astrid's POV)

We are all rushing around now. We have to get the ROR ready and get Hiccup's presents.

"I'm going to get him a very hard Potions book. It will be in that language that he can read, and he'll enjoy the challenge." I told Rap quietly as we left the library.

"Plus he loves making Potions." Rap added excitedly. We were hurrying to the ROR, and Rap had to get her gift from the library. Strange place to hide it, but it worked. She hid it in a hollow book that Hiccup would never read.

"Yeah. There's that too." I walked three times in front of the ROR, and thought about the perfect room for Hiccup's birthday party, which was in three hours. I already had the potions book hidden in there. Rap just didn't know that. She was holding her gift now, which was a box of potion ingredients. Jack had gotten her m something too, but he refused to tell us what it is. I think that it is a broom polishing kit, but I'm not sure. I tried to look at it after I knocked Jack out, but Rap caught me and pulled me to the library and now here. The room was sky blue and green, Hiccup's favorite colors I guess. There was a cauldron-shaped chocolate cake, and a huge cauldron for presents. I pulled mine out of a cupboard and put it in carefully. Rap looked around and then stared at me.

"You hid your gift in here the whole time!"

"Of course I did. How else was I supposed to keep Hiccup from finding out about it? Or worse, finding it and discovering what it was?" Rap just shrugged and put her gift in as well. Hiccup is turning eleven, so I waved my wand and eleven candles appeared on the cake.

"Let's go wake up Jack, that way he can put his gift in before the party and check this place out." I said, moving towards the door.

"You go wake up Jack, I'll keep watch and make sure that Hiccup doesn't get in here." Rap left the room with me and then headed to the Great Hall, where Hiccup was. She was going to distract him and keep him away from the ROR. I hurried to the Common Room to wake up Jack and get to the Great Hall before Hiccup got to wondering where we were.

"Jack, wake up!" I yelled in Jack's ear three times before he would get up.

"Wha-?"

"Come on, we have to drop your present off in the ROR and get to the Great Hall!" I grasped his arm and yanked him up, then began dragging him to the ROR. Jack clutched his gift to his chest with the arm that I wasn't holding on to. I ran back in forth in front of the ROR, whipping Jack around. I pulled him in and over to the cauldron, and he dropped his gift in without hesitation.

"Can you let go of my arm? I think that there is going to be a bruise." I glanced down and released my grip on his arm.

"Now we have to go to the Great Hall." I told him.

"Ok." He said, while rubbing his now bruised arm. We ran down the corridor and slowed up as we reached the stairs, trying to calm our breathing. We walked down the stairs and sat down just as Hiccup was getting up to go look for us.

"Where were you? I was so worr-!" I kissed him on the lips to shut him up, and it worked. Very effectively, I might add.

"Honey, Jack fell asleep in the Common Room, and Rap and I realized too late that he wasn't with us, like when we were on the very top of the stairs, so I ran back to the Common Room to get him."

"It's true." Jack supplied. "Astrid had to yell in my ear three times before I got up."

"And I can't run, so I sent Astrid to get him." Rap told Hiccup.

"Ohh. Okay then." Hiccup said.

(Hiccup's POV)

Astrid, Rap, and Jack are hiding something from me, but I don't know what. I figure that if it was really important, they'd tell me. Maybe it's just something about my birthday. Whatever it is, I'm sure that they'll tell me eventually, and when they do, it will mean that there will be no secrets. Well, accept for that one that I have, that I can read and write Ancient Greek, but that can wait. We finished eating a few minutes later, and I noticed that Astrid, Rap, and Jack were whispering about something. I caught the words 'Hiccup', 'birthday', and 'surprise'. So maybe they are planning a birthday surprise for me? Maybe they just forgot about my birthday, and it's a surprise that it's today? I don't know. I walked ahead of them to the Griffindor Tower, trying to make sense of everything that had happened lately.
