Astrid watched as Jack and Rapunazel and a bunch of kids she didn't know were being Sorted. All of the names but Jack's and Rapunazel's had been a blur until Hiccup nudged her and said "It's your turn, Astrid." to her quietly. She knew that they might not be in the same House, and she hoped that she would be put in Gryffindor and that Hiccup would be put in Gryffindor as well. Taking a deep breath, Astrid slowly walked up to the Sorting Hat and put it on. The Hat bellowed instantly "Gryffindor!" Astrid took off the Hat and walked to the Gryffindor table with relief. She sat across from Rapunazel and looked at Hiccup. He was smiling, but he still looked scared and nervous. Astrid smiled at him and gave him a thumbs-up and mouthed, "You'll be in Gryffindor, I know you will." Then, after about ten other people, Hiccup was called and he went up to the Hat and put it on. Astrid was crossing her fingers that he would be in Gryffindor.
