The New Big Four In Hogwarts

Chapter 24: The Party

(Hiccup's POV)

After dinner, Astrid tied a blindfold around my eyes.

"What's the blindfold for?" I asked, trying to undo the knot. I couldn't get it untied, though, because Astrid's nimble fingers had tied it well.

"Trust me. I'll lead you to where we need to go, and then I'll take off the blindfold, okay?" Astrid's words washed over me, and I felt Astrid slip her hand into mine, and my spine tingled every moment that she touched me. Astrid started to pull me gently and I squeezed her hand so tightly that she gasped. She tensed up instantly.

"Hiccup, please don't grip my hand so hard." I loosened my grip a little bit, and she relaxed. A few minutes later we came to some stairs, and Astrid turned and took my other hand, sending shockwaves up my spine. She led me up the stairs, walking backward from what I could tell.

"We're almost there!" Astrid told me brightly as she let go of one of my hands. A few minutes later she let go my of my other hand.

"Stay there. I'll undo the blindfold in a minute." Her sweet, beautiful voice washed over me again, making me want to do whatever she wanted. I felt Astrid slip her hand into mine again, and she ledge though a door, into a room full of people. I could hear all of their voices. Astrid's nimble fingers undid the blindfold, and everyone in the room yelled surprise! I jumped and looked around the room. Everyone in Gryffindor was there, even the Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Skyla, Harry's sister, was with them, and Draco was standing next to her.

"You planned this whole thing?" I asked Astrid.

"Yes. All by herself. She wanted you to have the perfect birthday." Rap exclaimed. Then the music started playing and everyone started dancing.

"May I have this dance, m'lady?" I asked, bowing a little bit and pretending to be formal.

"Of course you may, good sir." Astrid giggled as she took my hand. Right now it was a slow dance, so Astrid put one hand one my shoulder and I put one hand on her waist.m Our other hands were already clasped together. Looking into Astrid's beautiful sky blue eyes, I felt something weird yet wonderful. Sadly, a few minutes later the song ended, and everyone just started dancing to rock music. We dropped our hands to our sides and starting dancing like the other kids.

"How are you liking your birthday party so far?" Skyla asked. I jumped and turned to face her and Draco. Draco had his arm around her.

"It's been really fun so far." I told her.

"Are you and Astrid dating?" Skyla asked.

"No. Why?" I replied.

"Because you should be." I swear I heard Skyla mumble.

"What did you say?" I asked.

"Nothing." As I watched her walk away, I'm pretty sure that she said under her breath

"Boys are so clueless."

(Still Hiccup's POV)

It was after midnight before everyone left. The party had been great, but I was still pondering Skyla's words. We were in the Common Room now, opening my presents and making a list so I know who to thank.

"Let's finish tomorrow." Astrid yawned.

"Yeah, we should. It's past one now, and we have classes to go to. I don't want to get in trouble for sleeping in class!" I said, standing up and stretching, than helping Astrid to her feet.

"Night boys." Astrid and Rap called at the same time.

"Night." I replied. Jack has fallen asleep on the couch, so I went to the dorm by myself and threw myself onto my four poster bed. I didn't even bother changing out of my clothes, and I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.
