The New Big Four In Hogwarts

Chapter Twenty: Escape

"Chief!" Ruffnut called the next time Stoick went past. "We need to train, and Hiccup is the only one who can train us, so can you please let him out of his cell so he can train us? Oh and Toothless too."

"All right. But only for a while, and only to train." Hiccup climbed out of his cell with Astrid's help. The door was higher than the floor of the cell. Toothless hopped out of his cell with no difficultly and ran to Hiccup. They trained, and Fishlegs told Hiccup the rest of the plan. They would insist on training until dark. Astrid had sent a her new owl, Sliver, who was a gift from her parents, to Hogwarts explaining the situation. She would leave at sunset, go to Hogwarts, and wait for Hiccup by their favorite tree. Jack and Rap would be waiting, too, if Professor Potter said they could.

"It's been an hour and half. Hiccup, Toothless, back to your cells." Stoick boomed.

"Sir, don't you think that it's best for Astrid to get as much training in as she can before she has to leave later? Hiccup can train us at any time, because he'll be here, but he won't be able to train Astrid because she'll be at Hogwarts." Snotlout reasoned.

"Fine. Hiccup can train all of you until Astrid leaves. Then he and Toothless go back to their cells." Stiock grudgingly agreed. "And no helping him escape, any of you!" Little did he know that that was exactly what they were doing.

"Let's start training. We've only got about three hours before Astrid has to leave." Hiccup said. They trained and trained, then after three hours, Snotlout said, "Hiccup, stop talking about escape and get back in your cell." When Stoick was just about to come in to put Hiccup in his cell.

"Well, at least they've got that covered." Stoick thought as he left. Astrid left for Hogwarts a few minutes later and on her way to Hogwarts, she remembered that Hiccup's birthday was coming up soon. November 17th was the day.

The sun set soon after Astrid had left. Stoick came to check that Hiccup was in his cell, and Fishlegs, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut kept Stoick's attention on them. The twins made something blow up on the other side of the village, giving Snotlout the time he needed to get Hiccup and Toothless out of their cells.

"Thanks Snotlout. All right, bud, let's get going." Hiccup and Toothless flew out the arena and disappeared into the night sky. Snotlout closed the cell doors and left the arena.

"They're asleep, no need to worry." He told Stiock. That was the sign to the others that Hiccup was gone, he had escaped.
