On Monday, when they went to double Potions, the teacher, Professor Malfoy, really didn't like them. She even said as they came in "Oh look, it's the Big Four." She had a reason, sort of, not to like Hiccup and Astrid, because they were the ones on the Quidditch team. From what the older kids said, she hated all Gryffindors after Slytherin and Gryffindor played each other and was almost evil if Gryffindor won.

"Hiccup, Astrid, you'll be sitting together in this front seat here. Jack and Rapunzel, who will sit across from them. They got started on their potions. They didn't know what it was called, the book was mostly in Greek. Hiccup was the first one done.

"How did you finish so fast?" Astrid asked, amazed.

"I did what the book said to." Hiccup shrugged. "It's not that hard."

"But it's in Greek!"

"I can read Greek."

"How long have you known this?"

"I just found out today." Hiccup said as he packed up. "I've never been able to read English that well." (Let's just say that on Berk they read and write English.)

"When it's English, the words just seem float off of the page."

"Well, okay then." Astrid said.

Hiccup helped them finish when Professor Malfoy wasn't looking. Thanks to Hiccup, they all made the potion right and got it done on time.

"Outstanding to you four. You are all passing this class with flying colors and are my star students. Professor Malfoy praised them. "I'm sorry about earlier in the hour. I was just upset that Slytherin lost on Saturday and I got some bad news about my father-in-law." After thanking her for her praise and telling her that it was fine, they headed to History of Magic, the only class that they didn't have an exam in today and the only class that had a ghost for a teacher.
