S T A Y

It's been 1 year since Damien and I broke up. We are good, more than good. It's like we never broke up.

"Wanna grab some lunch?" Damien asked me as he approached my desk.

I nodded. As I stood up, Boze and Mari gave me a weird look. I didn't mind it and just shrugged it off. I hopped into Damien's car.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked and started the car.
"I'm craving for Italian today."
"Then Italian it is." He said and drove.

We were at the restaurant.

"Table for two please." Damien said to the maître d'hôtel.

"This way sir and madam." The maître d'hôtel said and lead us to a table.

Damien held the chair as I sit.

"Don't they have a dresscode here?" I asked.
"Unless we are so fancy in our casual attire." He said

We ordered our food.

"Boze and Mari looked at me weirdly earlier when you asked me to have lunch." I said while waiting for our food.

"Probably wondering why we are still together."
"Yeah. Why are we still together when we broke up already." I asked him

"I don't know because I can't let you go." He explained
"Do you still love me?" I asked while tucking my hair behind my ear.

"I think so." He said
"How about you? Do you still love me?" He tapped his fingers on the table, waiting for an answer.

"I'm here, but don't count on me to stay." I said.

"Our break up is not one sided. We both agreed on it." I added
"Why do I even agree on it?" He asked
"Because our relationship is toxic. All we do is fight." I answered

"Ohh yeah. We're compatible to be best friend and not to be lovers." He said sarcastically.

"I mean if we're not for each other we couldn't be together. We are like magnets with the same pole."

"You are the one who wants to break up in the first place. It's been one year, I changed. Can we just try this again?"

"Oh Damien." I said and put my head on my hands.
"I'll think about it." I added.

The food is placed on the table. I took a bite and shaked my head in awe.

"I love it when you do that." He said

I giggled.

"I wish I didn't break up with you." He said and I almost choke on my pasta.

"Oh come on Damien. Don't do that." I said
"Do what?"
"When you pity out of yourself."
"Don't you want to get back together?"
"Damien, we are happy as bestfriends. When we were together it's like an asteroid meets the earth. I'm the asteroid by the way."

He didn't say anything and just continued to eat and so did I.

We were on our way to the Smosh building. The ride was quiet.

"Can you give me a ride home later?" I asked to break the awkward silence between us.

"Sure." He replied shortly.

We arrived at our destination without talking. He is probably pissed because I started talking about our past relationship.

I went in the room and was immediate pulled by Mari and Boze. They pulled me outside to the girl's bathroom.

"What are you doing?" I asked calmly

Because I know this is just one of their jokes and I couldn't do anything but to roll with it.
