"Polka dots or plain?" Damien held two neck ties.

"Polka dots if you wanna look like a clown." I didn't break my vision to my video game.

"Why do you even have a polka dots neck tie? What event do you think it's good to wear a polka dots neck tie?" I continued ranting about his life decisions.

And, I was dead. My character was dead again. I can't pass this stupid level no matter how hard I try.

Damien went out of the room, wearing his light blue button down long sleeves, "how do I look?"

Fantastic. I just wanna marry you.

"Like you're gonna go door to door and ask if they want to buy a blender." I teased.

But, deep inside, he looks gorgeous. That shirt matches his hazel brown eyes.

"Quit it and help me put my tie on." He gave me the tie

I stood close to him. Tying the cloth by his collar. I can feel his hot stare.

"You go on dates and still can't tie your necktie." I said to swayed the tension between us.

"There." I said as I did the last loop.

"Thanks. I love you." He kissed me on my cheek and grabbed his coat.

"Don't eat my Doritos, Shayne." Damien said before going out.

I sat on the couch beside Shayne who was finishing my video game.

"That wasn't awkward at all." Shayne sarcastically said.

"Oh aren't you glad you witnessed it all?" I rolled my eyes, trying my best for my tears not to fall.

The voice over announced Shayne's loss.

"Come here." He motioned for me to hug him.

I laid my head on his chest while he patted my back.

"Just find someone else." He said
"Do you know how hard it is to find a suitable man in LA?" I said

Damien and I were childhood best friends, and since we were a child I have a huge crush on him but he still doesn't know. He saw me as his sister that he desperately needed to protect or someone who has hot friends that he could date.

I'm the one who is there for him through bad break ups and everything. I never left his side. Pathetic, isn't it?

Shayne, Damien and I live in a same apartment. Everyday, gets harder and harder to hide my feelings for him.

But, I guess it's time to move on because Damien and I are not really gonna happen.

Next day, we were at the break room chatting and all that stuff when Olivia asked me, "you're single, right?"

I nodded.

"Sam has a friend who is also single. Maybe you want to have a date with him." She explained.

"Say 'yes'." Courtney playfully nudged me.

"Is it Adam? He's a douche. I met him once and I can't stand that guy. Y/n will not like him." Damien interfered our talk.

"Wow. Thanks a lot, Damien." Olivia rolled her eyes.
"It's okay. I also don't think I'm ready." I said politely.

They nodded their head like they agreed with me but questioning how can a woman in mid 20s not be ready for a relationship, must be a full of trust issues and insecurities.

At lunch, I was sitting with Shayne and eating my salad when Damien walked in.

"How was your date last night?" Shayne asked Damien.
