She held Damien's hand as they stood on her parent's two story house. Funny, how she use to live in there and now the memories were now a blur.

"Calm down. It will be fine." she sensed her boyfriend's nervousness.

He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. She gave his hand one more pressed. The door opened, revealing a woman who has the similar facial attributes to y/n.

"Y/n." she hugged her daughter that she haven't seen since last year's christmas.

"Damien. It's nice to finally meet you." she gave him a warm hug like he's one of her sons.
"It's nice to finally meet you too, Mrs. y/l/n"

"Come in." she opened the door wide enough for the couple to enter.

The house was tidy and full of pictures. They sat down on the couch.

"your father is upstairs and will come down in a minute." her mother said and leave the two of them to go to the kitchen, checking the chicken.

"are you nervous?" she asked
"yes. a little bit."
"don't be. they will like you."

The sound of shoe colliding on the hardwood floor caught their attention. They both looked at the stairs, walking down was a man, giving both of them an ear to ear smile.

"Dad." she stood up, embracing her father into a hug.
"How's my daughter?" he asked
"I'm good." she answered.

"You must be Damien." he looked at the boy standing beside her.
"Yes sir. It's nice to meet you, Mr. y/l/n" offering his hand to shake.
"what are you a business man. come here and give an old man a hug." her father said, opening his arms.

Damien hugged his girlfriend's father. He thought that this meeting is gonna go horrible but he was wrong yet it's still a long night.

"The dinner's ready." her mother announced.

The three went to the kitchen and sat down.

"So. How's life in LA? How's work?" her father asked while cutting the chicken.

"Good. I just got promoted." she answered.
"How about you, Damien? What do you do for a living?"
"uhm I'm an actor." his nervousness was showing. He doesn't want to say that he is an actor, he figured that he will not be like by her parents if he said he's an actor.

"Wow. I have a famous son-in-law." the father said.
"Dad!" y/n tried to shushed him before he could say anything and everything.

"what? eventually you two will get married and have our grandchildren." he said.
"no pressure." her mother joined in.
"you two are in the right age to be married and have children"

"yes but we are focus with our work." she said to both of her parents.
"you will marry her, right?" her father gave Damien a glare while pointing the fork at him.

"of course sir. I truly love her." he was panicking on the inside, her girlfriend held his hand and gave it a squeezed and mouthed, "calm down."

"that's good."

The dinner went by so fast. And now Damien and her father are sitting on the living room, looking through y/n's photo albums. She took a moment to savor the sight of them getting along.

"He is a fine young man, isn't he?" her mother stood beside her.
"He was so nervous but look at him now." y/n sipped her wine.

She adored the sight of her father and her boyfriend getting along.

"Was dad that nervous when you introduced him to grandma and grandpa?" she asked.
"Of course. No man is confident when they stood infront of the parents." her mom's wisdom.

"He is perfect for you, honey. Please don't let him go." her mother said before joining the two men on the living room.

She sighed overwhelmingly and joined her family looking through the pages of her childhood memories.

"You didn't tell me that you went to prom looking like Barney." Damien laughed at the prom pictures, she was wearing a violet and green gown.

"Ugh. I looked hideous." she said as she looked at the pictures.

"Mom and Dad never told me that I look like effing Barney and they still encouraged me to wear the gown." she added.

"We just support what you want, honey."

It's true, all of her life was her parents supporting her in all she want, that's why she is so unique and true to herself.

"Atleast you are not a spoiled brat." Damien said to her.

"You raised her so well, Mr. and Mrs. y/l/n." he said to the both of the adults.

They replied with a big smile and a nod. He was not nervous anymore, he felt welcome and part of the family.

Unfortunately, the night ended.

"Take care of my daughter." her father said harshly while glaring at him.

"I certainly will, Mr. y/l/n." Damien said
"oh please. call us mom and dad. after all, you are part of the family."

"Goodbye." y/n gave her mother a long hug and did the same to her father.

"Thank you for this lovely evening." Damien said
"mom and dad." he happily said

They walked to Damien's car and the couple went in while her parents are waving them goodbye. Damien was overwhelmed, he thought her parents wouldn't like him but they were different.

"your parents are fun." his hands are on the steering wheel.
"I'm so happy that you get along with each other." her smile was showing on her face.
"To be honest, they are awesome."

"Thank you, Damien." she looked at him and smiled even wider than ever.
