i like u: a prequel

"I LIKE YOU DAMIEN HAAS" echoed on the hallway.

The culprit quickly ran away. Everyday she would shout those words and hide like a child.

"aha" He jumped infront of her.

Her smile went away. She's in big trouble, she thought. She knew someday she is gonna get caught but she didn't expect that it would be this day.

"You are under arrest. Anything that you will say will be held against you." he held both of her wrist.

She leaned in and whispered, "then I'll say your name."

"Lady, you should be ashamed of yourself." he let go of her hands, a big change in his mood.

She raised her eyebrow, asking why. He suddenly change, it was just a joke but now it turned to something serious.

"Do you know that you are disturbing every corner of this building when you are shouting those things." he said
"Fine. I won't do it anymore."
"Then I think that's good." he walked away.

She was not sure of what just happened. But she is determined of her feelings that she indeed like Damien Haas and would never stop pursuing him until she annoys the hell out him and like her back.

"Coffee?" she asked, giving him a cup of coffee that she bought for the whole squad

But his is different, there's a sweet little note that says, "you are irresistible :)."

"And you are irritable." he sipped his coffee, she just gave him a smile, that doesn't affect her, she has a thick skull.

"aww why I don't have a note?" Shayne asked
"You don't need a note, Shayne. You already know that I love you."

Everyday she would put up sticky notes on his belongings, such as, computer, chair, cups of coffee, car and anywhere he would go just to remind him that she is still waiting for him.

"Goodmorning Damien." she greeted cheerfully as she enter the game room.
"Why are you so energetic?" Wes asked
"She have Damien as a source of power." Mari said
"Ha! That's why he doesn't have energy because y/n took it all."

"dun dun dun" Mari exclaimed.

"coffee" y/n said, placing a cup infront of him with a note attached, "this coffee is special just like you."

She walked out of the room and Damien can't control his feelings anymore, his perfect bubble burst out and her action is the last prick.

"How do I get her to stop this abomination?" He let out
"You don't really like her? Damien, she is cute and sweet. " Mari talked him out
"But it's so annoying. Everything that she is doing to me makes her more unlikable."
"Atleast she is exerting an effort." Wes said
"Well, I don't like it." his confidence in his voice sounded the room.
"Suit yourself, you'll find a woman like that once in a blue moon." Wes clicked away on his computer.

But she never really did walk away, she was standing beside the doorway, heard everything that he said. It's like her soul was shredded and her heart was torn into pieces. She walked away and cried in peace. Her efforts are wasted, he didn't even appreciate it. She promised to stop pursuing him since it would lead her to nothing but anger.

The next day, something unusual was happening. She was not smiling, not greeting employees, no coffees in hand.

"hi" Courtney greeted

She didn't greet back instead she sat down at the couch quietly.
"something's wrong. I think she's broken." Courtney said

"let me guess, you binged watch last night?" Noah said confidently which she shook her head in response.
"You are a clone?" Shayne said
