It was a warm sunny day at the Smosh Games office when Damien came up to me. Damien and I aren't really that close but I've been working with him for one year. I don't really like talking to people, I only say things when I am talked to or when it is really needed like when the camera is on or someone is asking me questions.
"What's up?" Damien asked soon as he approached me
"The sky, sun, planets and other heavenly bodies." I said"Oh. Aren't you funny?" he said
"I'm not stating a joke, it's a fact. Stop skipping science class."
"Well okay. I'm just gonna ask you if you want to grab lunch."
"How are you supposed to grab a lunch? Like you open your hands and tadah your lunch is in your hands." I said.He looked at me while raising his eyebrow. I don't know if he is weirded out by me.
"I'm just messing with you, dude. I gladly accept your offer to put the lunch in my hand."
I laughed at him. Now, he is more confused. I don't know why Damien, out of the blue, asked me to "grab" a lunch with him.
"So? Taco Bell?" He asked
"Sure. Is everyone coming too?"
"No. They don't want to."
"Ahh. That makes sense." I said while putting my phone in my pocket."What makes sense?" He scratched his head
"You asking me to have a lunch with you. Because no one wants to go, so you are left with a choice that you have to go with me than to sit at the Taco Bell all alone, nothing to talk to.""But sitting with you is like sitting at the Taco Bell all alone." He joked
"Ha ha. Yes, I'm quiet. I just don't express myself a lot of times. Because when I do, I swear you will get tired of my voice."
We walked through the hallways of the building.
"Well. Good thing I asked you. Weird you know, we've been working for one year and I don't know anything about you." He said as we walked inside the elevator
"Do you want the truth?" I asked as I pushed the ground floor button.
"What is it?"
"Promise me not to tell anybody."
"Okay. I promise"I take in a deep breath.
"I'm a spy" I said while keeping a straight face.
He looked at me, all confused. This man might think that I have something wrong with my head.
Until I can't keep it anymore and I burst out laughing.
"Ghad. I hate you. I thought you were serious for a sec. Because it's not impossible, you know. There's a chance."
And now I'm the one who's thinking that something is wrong with his head.
"Oh aren't you so optimistic? Like you are the type of person who thinks that if there's still life, there's a chance." I shaked my head in disappointment.
He just shrugged. We reached our floor and fought over on who's gonna drive and I lose because he invited me and that he has the right to drive for that matter.
"So? I think we should know each other." Damien said
"Hi. I'm y/n. There, you know me."
"Okay one thing about you, you can't hide your sarcasm."
"And one thing about you is you're nosy."He smirked or that's what I saw but damn that smirk made me melt. We talked about our lives for the rest of the ride.
"How about boyfriend? Do you have one? Or a girlfriend? " He asked
"Nope. My last boyfriend was like. I don't know pre-school. Back when I don't know what life is." I said"How about you?" I asked
"I don't have one recently. Maybe you would like to apply." He joked.
"Sorry, no can do. I forgot my resume at home."
